I put the water line just under the top of the slits on mine, and it seems to give a decent perc. Ya might need to play around with water level a bit, though I don't doubt that each one is made slightly different and will also have variations in performance accordingly. It would perform better...

yeah you gotta watch how high they put the top of those percs, the slits being so far up will insist you add too much water for the volume of the piece. That is the hang up I have with several of the glass pieces listed here, the perc is just not placed correctly, or too big for function. There...
