I went ahead and ordered a replacement plate, to have around, and to also get the proper tool to (carefully) remove my current one to see how it's going under there. I also wouldn't mind cleaning things up a bit while I'm at it.

I am sorely lacking any kind of rainbow colored pieces, which I hope to remedy some day. That looks like a nice one there grokit!

I noticed my reducer wants to get stuck too easy in mine, so I rolled one of my extra O rings that fits (thermovape Large orange O ring) to the lip of my reducer, so it won't stick any more, same idea as the rubber band basically, offers a good seal and I don't have the sticking.

of course, this is purely for example, but this is the style pipe I'm talking about that has the threaded bowl/lid combo, if you can find the bowl part like this one... the one I have here mates with the wood top just fine, then you just have to get a little creative to match it to your water...

My flame seems to turn up just fine, so I'm guessing it must be the one you got... my complaint would be that my jet stays lit a few seconds after I release the button, which I found a little alarming at first, but now I am used to it. It does it at lower settings too.
