Well, until I saw the shipping price anyway but maybe there is something comparable out there.
I kept mine at 725 or so and it worked great. You do need to bump it about 50 degrees if you put the quartz dish in tho. Its a FANTASTIC nail... Its my favorite.
The barrel coil sucks with that nail. I have the barrel adapter.. dont even know where it is. That nail was designed for a flat coil.. that came straight out of Kens mouth at the Cannabis Cup in Denver this year. I have a 10mm coil from DNail that I use with my HDP and its AWESOME. I switched to...
Anyone using a straightener you can just go to the store and buy? Im not ready to leap into this headfirst but Mrs P is kind of interested so I thought we could do some of the flower we have hanging around if I could find a straightener local, just not sure what to buy.
Well, it works... Im sure there are plenty of other good places to get them.
One thing I would recommend tho is get a coil with a 10mm hole in the middle.
Im partial to my Terpz enail mainly because of the power cord setup.
Id like to try to use a 250W coil but the Terpz unit but Im afraid I may not be able to get the 100W working again if I do. The Terpz unit it supposed to self calibrate but Ive been afraid to try that.
Either way, there are...
I broke down and bought a SIC as well. Really liking it. Wish it had a different base.. sucks to have to buy a HE base after I gave my last one away but the call of the SIC was just too great....
I think phenolic will be perfect for you. Its pretty tough and plays really well with heat. Its used as spacers between manifolds and carburetors for race cars and you can get it about as thick as you want it. It cuts like wood. Just make sure to wear a mask when cutting it.
You should pick up some phenolic sheeting up from a local plastics supply house. I bet it would work a lot better.
Delrin might be a good choice too but Im unsure about its thermal capabilities.
I have multiple DNail coils I use with my Terpz unit. They work fine.
Got an email from Kaleb.. he's been waiting to get his vendor account approved here since April.
Great news.. Id imagine you were dealing with Kaleb.. he seems to be a good guy.
FWIW Im still rocking The Terpz unit as my daily driver and have been very happy with it.
If you use the manual switch, you could eliminate the solenoid and the pressure switch.. seems like they have enough off the shelf stuff that you should just need to concentrate on the plates and PID controller unless you have another reason for going that route. Either way, nice job and really...
As an FYI for anyone interested, the HE Infiniti and the Chinese knock off have different threads so you cant use the SIC dish on the Chinese version of the Infiniti.
Terpz had some really awesome stuff in the works and then the guy just kind of vanished. We were supposed to meet up with him at the Cup and we just couldnt get our schedules together.
@VoltageKeeper has coils at a pretty good price and his flat coil will fit the Happy Daddy Genesis nail.. Im...
