Disagree, I think the dynacoil is a real innovation. It’s deceptively simple. Better than stainless steel pads, IMHO, and just works beautifully. That said, not everyone uses concentrates, so maybe feels less like a big innovation than other things.
As I said a few pages back, it works so well I’ve been DIYing glass marble stems for my other vapes (dynavap and Solo II). I like that it preserves flavor better than going thru water. And it’s less fussy, to me
After going all the way down the carbless glass stem-with-cooling-beads rabbit-hole for a while :D
I broke out these oldies but goodies (my 3rd and 4th acquired vapcaps), and used them with carb open, mid-cap heating. I just freaking love how hard it is to have a subpar vaporizing experience...
Good luck tomorrow @RogueGuy! I know I’m not the only one eagerly awaiting the new stems—that one with the multiple bubble like chambers inside is on my wish list
Yeah. My understanding is that the early Omnis did close down completely, but mine (second gen) does not. It still lets some air, albeit much reduced, through even at full extension. It does not become like a carbless stem when closed.
In my experience the Omni does not completely close off the airflow, not how you would want it for going through water.
Nice idea @thejackalsmark! Wish I had a few spare o-rings...
The ice stem is wonderful! Cools the vapor significantly, and retains full flavor, as opposed to cooling through water. Highly recommend, in fact I have DIYed “ice stems” for my other vaporizers because it’s that good
Until quite recently, dynavap still had replacement glass condensers for the OG vapcap in the parts section. Just checked and they’re not there anymore. They had some kind of orangey-red o rings on them, if I’m remembering correctly
I’ve been mildly obsessed with cooling beads for my dynavap glass stems, , and just added about 15 6mm glass marbles to my Ed’s tNt Blackwood stem (with a screen inserted at the top to hold them inside). Very very nice adjustment to that stem!
Ran some mystery dankness that I’d put into a small travel tube a while back and didnt remember what it was through the mIQro this morning. Wonderful flavor. Happy Saturday!
I think they do cool the vapor, however they’re doing it. They make the standard mouthpiece on the ONE useable for me, when it’s otherwise too hot, same for the short stem for the Solo 2. And the beads themselves get very hot—dump them out into your hand after use and you’ll see.
@Andy Capp...
It’s nice. Feels swanky, heavy. Missed opportunity with the way the end of the mouthpiece is shaped—Pete says it mates with a 10mm joint, but it doesn’t do it well. Not as solid a connection as a standard DV mouthpiece has. I like the RWW glass stem more (it’s become my daily driver). That...
