I am going to count myself lucky then, my 187 only has a very minor flaw (sloppy dewar joint) that doesn't really effect function so far. I am sorry for those being sent cracked and nonfunctional pieces, that's never a good experience. I am also very happy I got the specific recycler I ordered...

not sure what you're taking offense to, I was just responding that I didn't notice a lack of flavor. Yes, the build up of snot is condensed vapor that doesn't make it to your lungs, so if you are trying to avoid this, a frit may not be for you. I won't dispute if one is better than the other...

I don't know about larger pieces, but I found the frit AC offered a lot of flavor, took notice of it, considering it is a frit, though you will get "frit snot" really fast from so much diffusion, reclaim oil tends to collect really fast.

yeah, I've been trying to think of something like that myself. I can plug it with my finger, if I hold it just right, but really it doesn't effect the performance that I can tell. I think I am more concered with it breaking, but it feels like a pretty sturdy weld... maybe aquarium glue sealant??
