What should my next glass purchase be?

@Green420 flavor and filtration are in tension with each other to some extent (more of one usually means less of another). I don’t find I need a ton of filtration with vapor, especially relative to combustion. I think my spiked hook does a phenomenal job of delivering on reduced harshness...

    Tetra P80

Yeah, I still reach for my tp80 the most after more than a year of use. It’s not as instant on demand as I imagine some other vapes are: I find it works best with a warm up first, so I almost always use w2c mode. But that is instant enough for me, and it produces very even avb that seems to...

What should my next glass purchase be?

If you already have a water option I’d get a nice j hook to try dry glass next, personally. If you’re set on spending $100+ many of us can make that very easy, but I’d personally go straight to an ogb hook of some variety that you dig...

Any recommendations for a good 4 slot 18650 battery charger?

Very happy with https://www.18650batterystore.com/products/opus-btc3100-v2-2 for the last year and change. Four independent slots (so you can charge, test, discharge, analyze, or any combination thereof) simultaneously, and speeds from a trickle (200ma) to 2a.

I vastly prefer the tank to the bendy spiked. It adds some restriction which I could probably do without, but it offers vastly superior cooling. I also dig the compact size for when I’m bringing my tp80 someplace. E: apparently I vastly overuse the word vastly, too.

I bet if you email Ralph he will be happy to accommodate that @Panic Attack

Easy way to check health of an 18650 battery

As others have said, lots of chargers can test the mah and internal resistance of the battery. Presumably if yours are not long for this world one or both of those will have deviated from the norm. I’m sure there are more deluxe and cheaper options, but I’ve been using...

    Brilliant Cut Grinder

@Socks And Sandals I think like most people said you will be very satisfied with any size plate from BCG. They do a tremendous job of staying clean. Personally for reasons @invertedisdead is dead highlighted (maximizing extraction) I went for the fine plate, and with all of my convection...

    Vaporizer satisfaction

Yeah, in terms of need and satisfied I am good with what I have. Its just fun to try new things so I indulge in the hobby aspects and just snag things that interest me. Maybe I'll discover something that I enjoy even more than what I've got, but its mostly just for fun and to try them.

    Automated Loading Systems

Yeah, its all just a thought experiment for me. I don't know though: coffee beans have a ton of oils in them as well. MY BCG stays cleaner longer than my burr grinder, but putting that into a design with a hopper and motor is maybe easier said than done.

    Automated Loading Systems

Yeah, there are fully automatic espresso machines that have a hopper for coffee beans that are ground, loaded into a portafilter, tamped, pull a shot for you, and then dumped I think (not sure if they dump for you, I guess!). It seems like this would in theory be possible, just ditch the...

    The J-hook thread!

Haha, no worries. I was genuinely confused, but I thought it looked like a genuine obe hook 😉

Full THC extraction and low temp vaping.

I don’t think you ever get 100% of the compounds present in the package. Some is destroyed by the heat (more when combusting I imagine), some condensed one the sides of whatever you’re inhaling through, and I don’t think our lungs absorb 100% of the material. It is absolutely true that you’ll...

Hmm, are there plain hooks on the market for cheaper than the DHGate offerings? I know there are the mini ones that Lamart and RWW sell, but I thought they were still around the same price point or a little higher. Anyway not trying to turn this into a hook thread, just sharing my...

    TinyMight / TM 2

Yeah, for sure. To be clear, my post isn’t suggesting his stuff isn’t worth the price or something. Just for a first j hook you don’t need to spend $40 (maybe some privilege speaking, but not so much of an investment anyway) to see what all the hype is. Or just options if you’ve ever broken...

    TinyMight / TM 2

Generally yes, water steals some flavor. You should try it for yourself though instead of relying on others to tell you. It’s all pretty subjective. Lots of cheap water pipe options if you look in the cheap bubbler thread. @noobvaperct i doubt many have tried the new capsules, I think...

Yeah, the qc on the gate will undoubtedly leave a lot to desire. For a first hook I think they’re great, though. Cheers on the color info. I’ll try to be patient, which is not my strong suit. I do have a TP80 and a toad en route to keep me satisfied for a bit, though 😉

    TinyMight / TM 2

Most of the sellers will let you buy one if you message them, but either way I’d prefer two spiked hooks for ~$22 to one non-spiked for $42. It’s ultimately personal preference though. I have broken glass in the past, so right now I’d rather potentially break a throwaway hook from China then...

You can, ogb makes nice stuff but it costs a lot. If you don’t know J hooks and how into them you are I’d get something a little cheaper but equally functional...
