I recall somebody getting that piece a while back, and said the lower "jar" is a storage compartment, the tube is closed above where it connects, though I can't say for sure that this one is the same piece.

The D020-D is very close in size and performance, its slightly smaller and fewer slits in the perc, but over all I find them both equally pleasing to use.

They are actually really similar in how they hit. I haven't done any side by side though. I think the mini is much more delicate feeling, though it does seem fairly solid (aside from that weeping weld) I did a dab with the mini and it knocked me back pretty good, so all in all, it functions...
