Ok this inspired me to try my Ed’s tNt blackwood stem from my solo, with a silicone hookah grommet to form the seal. Will report results.

@Shit Snacks, if you don’t mind explaining, what would be the concern with using a 19/22 in a splinter V2? It doesn’t seem to be about bottoming out in the joint…is it about the taper of the splinter’s lining, or the glass cracking, or what? Thanks

This morning’s setup. I really like @RogueGuy’s acrylic mouthpiece/WPA when I use it with glass.

Whoops, I misspoke. Misremembered that the silicone WPA covers the vents, but it does not. (Only covers the mouthpiece.)
