Same here, I kept my 19M karmavap, and gave away a stock 20M. Me and the 20 have never figured out how to get along, though I love and appreciate all the other Ms, and wish I hadn’t given my 17 away when I got my 18…
I suspect that it has more to do with worries about the cap not staying on the device, when it is now a superheated cap. Not that it wouldn’t work on non-captive, but that the OG cap might be more likely to fall off and seriously injure someone. Dynabrands are cute and all, but this could do...
To me it’s so much about what kind of hit someone is looking for. I’m generally not looking to extract all in one, nor for super dark AVB. I look for flavor and lighter effects. Also, I don’t trust the FMJ to stay on if the vapcap is tilted down, and the potential burn if it falls is much...
Hey Mark, can you link that silicone donut thing you used in the video? I feel like it would help make a seal possible with my lotus pie, and some other hardware I have. Thanks!
I’ve got another hack for you, if you, like me, prefer a smaller mouthpiece than the stock RBT stems have: the Grav 16mm silicone chillum. Remove the chillum and stick the casing on an RBT stem. Bonus: you can fill the stem with glass beads for cooling, and you can cap the end for transport if...
*advertised* at $77.77, but then given away to everyone who signed up. But that was a couple years ago, and the dynaverse has gotten much bigger, and folks are hungry for the older, “rarer” stuff now. Which there isn’t as much of as people want
Sharing a storage hack I discovered: the tubes that M&M minis come in are
great for storing stems. The large size tube fits my phineas long glass stem, and the shorter ones fit the standard stems with room to spare. Perfect fit for my stem from Alan at toasty-top. About $1, plus you get candy 😉
Glad it worked! I wish dynavap had released better instructions when they sent these out. Lots of folks complaining, and it seems most issues come from either 1) taking it apart “wrong” (wrong order, or twisting/rocking instead of pulling), or 2) a very tiny and simple adjustment would fix the...
You could try putting a cork inside the wood sleeve to give it some support and make it harder to crush
edit: oh, I see by the time I commented you’d solved it. Way to go!
Just came by to say thanks to the kind folks here who pointed me to Alan at toasty-top for a wooden stem. He made me a lovely olive wood stem with glass liner, which is my new favorite.
The only “defect” in tips I’ve seen is that some ti tips won’t grab a ti CCD, having a slightly too large I.D., and need a steel CCD. (And the issues with the 19 that cyberguy mentioned.) But what it sounds like is that this particular 20M tip is slightly heavier than spec, so when the cap...
