Hello everyone, I have had a number of enquiries for Titanium grinders. I have enough material here to make 4 of them. I have listed them on my website if anyone is interested. I'm not too sure when they will be available again. $398 USD Thanks!

There is no new versions out there. I have literally just opened up orders again on my website. All orders placed from now will have the slip in bearing with circlip, filleted post design and grooves on the outside. The new price is $112 USD and is soon likely to rise to $132 USD to match the...

Hey mate, I’m sorry if I didn’t catch that you were having a problem or there was a misunderstanding. If you still have it I’m happy to exchange it for one with a coloured bearing and magnet. I will pay the shipping cost each way. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Thanks...

Sounds good to me! Let me if there is anything i can do. Im happy to send replacement parts to you. Id rather front the shipping cost than have you not be able to use your grinder. heres a PHOTO of one of my customers geting his bearing out. he put the lid between 2 notebooks and got a 12mm rod...

Hey mate, Sorry to hear about this issue. Is there anyone else here having this problem? Based on this i am making changes to the post design. I'm going to add an undercut slot at the very bottom of the post and I'm going to radius the post in 3 spots so there is a lot less contact area for...

There are 3 magnets. Exactly as you described but there is another magnet that goes up in the middle section first, this one attracts radially to the bearing race. Then the second one that presses In flush to hold the bottom section (attracting axially). The third magnet is pressed into the...

I can only get the one magnet unfortunately, it’s a special diametrically attracting magnet up in the top. I have asked my supplier if they can get weaker and the answer was a no.

I guess the only issue is if people try to cart them around, the lid can fall off. I like the idea of having the option for people choose. I understand that one option doesn’t cater for everyone’s needs.

Sure thing, If you reply to your order confirmation email, I will make it happen. This will most likely be the standard living forwards after this week. Thankyou.

I have been thining about all of you guys feedback regarding the lid being hard to pull off sometimes. I have done a quick prototype of a design with added grooves for grip in the mid and bottom section. Not only does it look good (imo) but this will help you guys in gripping the grinder to...

Do you have a NTN or better bearing? If this becomes a problem I will loosen the tolerance for the bearing onto the post and allow for a little more flex in the lid.

Are you putting boogers on your grinder?

    OLD MATE (formerly Medgrind)

Thankyou mate, this is exactly the feedback I need to know about. It’s tricky as I need to keep a somewhat tight tolerance so the lid doesn’t rock but not too tight that it becomes an issue. Thanks for making me aware and please keep me updated on how this progresses, Thank heaps.

Hmm, This is because the NTN bearing has a slightly tighter tolerance. If this doesn’t improve and “bed in” after a week or so please let me know and I’ll replace it for you.

Ok, lesson learned. I have a bunch of heavy duty boxes on order. I’ll be moving away from the padded mailer bags for international packages. There is going to be a bit of a transition period until they arrive. In the meantime I will be taping the packages considerably to ensure they stay...
