Definitely. Make sure you ask jhanpixel if it can be done in a female joint though, otherwise you'll need an adapter - unless of course PV starts making female jointed GonG.

I think just above the second slit in the tree is where you probably want it. That's my experience with tree percs anyways. Anyone else should feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not BDV... but that tube isn't too dissimilar from my LeviathanFC bubbler, which has always performed admirably with the Solo. I agree with BDV that it's not really a 'large' piece, but it may be larger than some would consider optimal for vapor.

I just looked at the Assassin line, there is no way this tube was intended for that line. The connecting joints on the Assassin look to be closer to 29mm (or higher perhaps) and not 18mm.
