My first unit a had red o-ring. The very early ones that didn't have pass through charging came like that.

I assumed that they probably returned the unit to a retailer who gave them another old unit off the shelf. Serial numbers that low had red o-rings and problems with pass through charging.

Get a refund on the Crafty if you feel it is not of merchantable quality. I get a refund when my unit goes back for warranty replacement.

I take my CU off immediately after use and don't get any build up on the screen. It also allows the plastic on the heating unit to cool down a lot faster resulting in no chipping or cracking issues for me.

That's the little shelf I talk about all the time. Makes a huge difference.

Maybe you could consider finding a decent retailer to buy from rather than direct from Bickel & Storz. I don't have any issues with my retailer and am glad I purchased from them. Just an idea.

They use a new smaller charger now as the old ones were prone to breaking. The cords would go in them. I have two chargers and a car charger just in case.

I get people messaging me online asking if I can buy a unit for them so that they get the full 2 year warranty on their batteries.

You are doing better than me. I have to do four warranty returns since January. Sending the units in for warranty replacement is just part of owning one of these units. I wasn't happy with having to this in the beginning, you'll get used to it.
