@RastaVapa has not seen on this forum since December of last year. I don't think that this is really on option. He had a nice one turned for me that was just waiting on internals but sadly health problems have kept him from completing.

If you are looking at DBV and SSV, you might want to consider the LSV. It has the same heating element as the other two but I personally prefer the glass wand to the whip. They are very inexpensive too, especially if you pick one up second hand.

I’m curious if these changes are all about ease of manufacturing or if we expect to see some performance improvements as well.

I have both and they are both awesome. They are very similar and it has been my experience is that the iHeat is slightly faster to heat up from cold but the Splinter does a little better job of nice even heat.

I have been using SS on my iHeat. I am currently messing around with TCR but I am a little lost right now.

What has everyone been using on their mod (stainless, nickel, titanium, etc)? The iHeat needs to be set on stainless but the Splinter runs too cool when in stainless.

I was going to suggest that it is a technique issue but if you have a Milaana, it is the same idea... you aren't holding down on the button the entire time. I am a Mi veteran and gets hot much faster than the Mi but not so much where I couldn't control it. Also, the difference when changing...

The one pictured is mine and I have used it both the the "base" and with a box mod. I have had a similar experience with a curved hot spot if you push it too far. The function on the box mod with voltage control is very similar to the iHeat base. It does function a little different if your...

#19 here. I did notice that he said that the pre-orders were mostly walnut with a few maples. I had ordered cherry, which sounds like it might no longer be an option. Does anyone here know about this?

Does anyone happen to have an iHeat and a Splinter? I got an iHeat and my Splinter should be coming soon now. I was just curious if anyone had a chance to try both to compare/contrast.

I have one and it doesn’t work in my Mi or my Zion (the female joint is too shallow) so I’m guessing it doesn’t work in the Splinter.

Sounds like you have a lot more experience with mods than I do so I apologize if this is an obvious response. I had the same issue with with my Alien reverting to Power Mode when I had my coil type set to the default Nickel. The problem was solved when I set it to Stainless Steel.

I am using it with the iHeat and I can say that it works well. The TC is really nice and even. I’ve used iHeat with the Smok Alien too and the TC is noticeably better on the Smoant.
