The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Downstem and mouthpiece both come off. Much easier for cleaning. I have a couple of other mouthpieces I occasionally throw on there. Being tall and relatively narrow, it is not the best piece for throwing a whip on. This is my favorite for that. Very heavy. The cheap glass thread is a better...

That piece is about 200 bucks from the vendor @BushRanger suggested in clear glass. If you don't mind getting a Chinese clone this piece is about 40 Bucks US delivered and is pretty close in design. I have one and it has become my daily water piece. The quality of joints, etc. Is never as good...

The Official FC Pets & Animals thread

I don't doubt you, but I struggle with this image. The eyes are repeated almost identically in several of the children as well as the mouth. They can't be siblings because they're nearly all very close to the same age. I can't imagine how they could look so much like one another. And the dogs...

I love that photo above this, but it sure does look like it was generated by AI. This little girl was generated by mama nature, with a little help from a breeder...

I have one of those too. They're great.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Yes, it does in my experience as I have suggested above even without the ultrasonic cleaner and with only 91% ISO. I usually let it soak in a jar for a couple hours though, and torching the balls would go a lot quicker. The way I use it I haven't felt a need for that speed, however, or I would...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I haven't had the balls out of my Tempest head yet, intentionally or otherwise. I have still been cleaning the balls by soaking the head in ISO and rinsing with hot water. I have occasionally unscrewed the screen to see if the balls look dirty, which they usually do. But they look fine after a...

    I just saw the moon

I am totally fascinated by all the different photos of the southern ring nebula from different telescopes, and using different wavelengths of light. The differences in how the nebula appears under these different light sources is really quite incredible. It almost makes them look like different...

    Brilliant Cut Grinder

I was not a believer in spending money on high quality grinders until I got my brilliant cut. After I got it, I started buying them for my brother and friends because it made that dramatic a difference to me. I've been buying seconds, and I can hardly tell their seconds. It may be due to the...

Right, because then you're replacing both grinding surfaces. I suppose you could reuse the same bottom because it's not grinding.

    Brilliant Cut Grinder

If @vapviking 's estimate is anywhere near accurate, does it seem odd to anyone that grinding 3 pounds of buds over a couple years would tend to reduce the sharpness of the plate? My kitchen carving knives need sharpening more often than that and they probably are getting a lot less use.

Definitely get them from at @Brenyo . Way cheaper than the link I provided from Ebay.

@Brenyo has them on his site for about half the price, but I ordered 100 2.5 zirc balls from a vendor on Ebay. Took a couple weeks to arrive but they are here now. https://www.ebay.com/itm/176102831935 I don't need them yet, but I am a compulsive backup kind of guy. I haven't yet taken them...

I have that one. It is so massive that it makes a great bottom piece (base) for anything you want to create. Also great with a whip cause it doesn't move...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I agree that putting the head on a WPA is the best way to do water with the Tempest. There's really no benefit to dirtying up the stem, which you just have to clean more often. I don't like to unnecessarily lose goodness stuck to the glass or stem. I have looked for a reasonably priced WPA with...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Some of the pre-release versions came with clickers as they evolved. My Tempest that I ordered in November did come with clickers that are at least fairly close to accurate. Others have no clickers or clickers that are not accurate. So it depends upon where in the process your order was placed...
