Sounds like they may require another international vacation to discuss the "locked" software... Interesting that they managed to test it out but then locked all the "production" units. Its like a giant Pipes induction heater with some basic software...

I would think it is basically an S3 with an extra plate welded to the side to accommodate the flat coil heater. I think those 2 punch marks are to hold the coil in place. I think i can see the top plate has an opening...

Is the S4 replacing it? EDIT: Thinking of possibly strapping a flat coil to my S3 and seeing what happens!

The controller is from China and possibly the heater cartridge, not sure on heater though. All glassware is sourced from US scientific glass manufacturers to @jojo monkey specs. It is assembled and tested in the US.
