Sorry if I didn't make my statement more clear, what I was getting at wasn't that any of those models have wood exposed at the bottom of the air way in a line-of-sight-from-the-resistor fashion though you're right by your definition (as I understand the different vapes) it is correct the PD is...
@ OTA - thanks dude, yeah it is amazing what a little finish can do for the wood eh? The application of the oil is what really makes the grain and colors pop though even just a simple buffing with wax looks pretty nice as well.
@ Gandalf - thanks for the support and glad you've got your VVPS...
Hey guys I think we had made some great progress towards getting this thread on track towards a meaningful discussion about materials and how they are used in the design and manufacture of vaporizers, especially the handmade ones on the market. I'm as guilty as anyone of saying things I probably...
Yep a good dog indeed. I was just out in the shop playing with him a bit more.. now he's got a nice new coat. He'll be back soon and fogging the place all up as usual. :p
I'm done for the day Dogs.. time to relax for a while and start the new week strong tomorrow. :peace:
Hey Dorkus, haha man your avatar never fails to crack me up.. that's nice looking cat hat you have there.
Thanks for the well wishes and glad you are also interested in some of the new stuff.. I think the Doghouses will be pretty sharp and be able to offer up some neat new style designs...
Thanks guys, again glad you all like the announcements and the stems!
@ djonk - the stems can use either the thick or thin silicone though all those pictured are with thick. I'm using thin on a walnut stem that I've been using couple months so it's just a matter of preference.
@ Azathoth -...
Thanks guys I'm really glad you like the wooden stems. I've been playing around with different ones for a while trying to find something I liked. Stainless lined ones for some reason didn't do it for me and I've never been fond of unlined ones but the glass worked out great. That it can be...
Additionally, as part of this evenings announcements I'd like to share some info on some of our ongoing R&D work with you all.
The following projects are underway, some farther along than others but all in the works and all with a hopeful release date within the next year. Information may be...

Alrighty then Underdudes and dudettes, thanks for waiting..
First off I'd like to say thanks to all you Dogs (and Dogs-to-be) it took me longer than I'd like to answer some of your emails over the last day or two but I think I've got them all accounted for now. Your patience and support (both...
I think there are quite a few Dog owners that do just that with the car charger SD. Also something to note is that with the car charger (for many people) the Dog will heat up much faster and reach a higher temp. Also if you're using a VVPS you can boost the voltage a bit and pretty easily get...
@ Hippie Dickie - thanks for posting your diagram Hippie, I love your design concept and I've followed your thread with enthusiasm since my arrival on FC. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see your finished product on the market.
@ darkrom - thanks dude, you're absolutely right I will...
Hey OTA, you are correct this was already gone over earlier in the thread but rather than argue with people who want it gone over again it's easier just to rehash it, though the diagram is a new one.
As far as the specific core design goes the diagram is a simplified version of the engineering...
Thanks OTA, that description helps. So, is the thicker silicone also 3/8" ID, ie the thicker walled silicone I provide? If so how easy is it to stretch over the thinner walled stuff?

As promised in the materials safety...

Thanks SD, can you tell me what we're looking at?
Standard simple glass stem with thin-wall silicone sleeve and then what's the sleeve on top? Is it the same thin-wall stuff just stretched over the other? Sorry for the dumb questions but I've been so busy with the other thread I haven't been...
