I have not yet hit a full Tempest Bowl. Half bowls exclusively for me so far. I find it the perfect amount for a big hit or a couple smaller ones. YMMV That makes my half again estimate pretty good. :cool:

No, half again. Meaning the Tempest Bowl is about a third larger.

Somebody measured both half bowl and regular bowl of both the VapCap and the Tempest and posted it in here, but I can't find the post. It is in here somewhere. It might have been in one of @VapingYogi 's very detailed posts. I think the Tempest Bowl is about half again as big as a VapCap bowl.

Not only does it have a bottom, but it's a glass bottom so that you can see the visual indicator through the glass without taking the Tempest out of the adapter. It is very effective if you have enough light in the room to see the heating status through the adapter. It is a great feature.

No, that skull candy adapter is meant for a vapcap cap which is a smaller diameter than the Tempest head. I bought my wand before my Tempest came, and I got a skull candy adapter to make it easier to use it with a vapcap, and it worked great for that, but the tempest is too big for that adapter.

Just thought I would mention to folks that the fact that the zirconium balls are bright white makes it much easier to see how dirty or clean they are. I find it very exciting when I torch them clean the difference in color is so obvious. Glass shouldn't be too bad either but I suspect the SIC...

I assume not, but does a second set of balls come with an order for the head only rather than the full Tempest?

Best way for me is to pour them into my hand (WAIT FOR THEM TO COOL!!) place the head at the crease of skin and raise my thumb side. Works well and pretty fast without losing any. They are a bitch to find if they fall on the carpet... ;)

I must be blind, but I'm having difficulty finding the beta upgrade kit. The ball retaining screens are available now tho.
