Good deal glad you like, really either end will do, one is just a little different due to how I have to turn it! Wish you well and many good times bro!
I feel ya on all that!
Alan is the man! He is very knowledgeable and also innovative, the work he does is top notch! Wish I had more time to try different things as he and also had the machines and tooling he has.
Is this what your referring to U bwade?
Alan wrote - It is just 7/16" stainless tubing. The tricky part is boring it out to 10mm since 7/16" is very close to 11mm. This only leaves a 0.5mm wall thickness. That is also why it doesn't steal away too much heat during roasting. Glad you are happy...
This will solve heat issues during storage and allow for ya to load and go!

Hell yeah Vito, you know ill have something special for ya!!! Glad to hear I will be able to putsome more wood in your hands. I appreciate you and look forward to hearing bout your experiences with it.
Jambandphan, I still combust so like my vapor hits to healthy and hearty, if you aint choking you aint toke'n! I have never run this thing out of batteries, have used it several times with the large thick OD tube and the new design, seems to have handles them both really well and still had power...
I loaded a nice grind yesterday in the Solo Tube, heat setting on 6, let the SS warm up for bout a minute. First couplea pulls were ok, 3,4 & 5 were heavy clouds, finished by the 5 and was really feeling it. Still took about 3 minutes for the SS to cool. I am hoping to have some of the high temp...
Ran the new Solo design through some testing last night. It fits really well, so well that the added Oring that Hogleg put in just above the core and under the top casing, I had to take out, no need for it. I put the heat setting on 7, it dropped to 6 when I inserted the tube but warmed right up...
Ubwade, Just got the finished piece yesterday. The fit is just right and tight, slips in well and seats snugly. Tubing is such a large OD as for the Solo is impossible to find manufactured. The SS I am using has to be turned and machined from a rather large piece of round stock. The SS that the...
I spoke with Alan today a couple of times and found out that with the new design these will be wider than the HI, actually his roasting tubes will fit just within the SS I am running.
I feel ya on the heat issue Ubwade, the wall of the SS is 1.5mm, the wall of the glass tubes are from 1.65+...
Hmmm the ID of these is 11.45 mm, what is the OD of the HI and UD? Not sure on pricing just yet, should be comparable with what I already offer. SS machining costs will be a big factor of it.
well hmm... The one I have you unscrew the top and there is that Oring that simply sits in there, it can be very loose until the top is screwed back tightly. There is that rubber right inside the top of the core to.
Sessnet, if all goes as I hope, these should be available by the end of next week. I am just as anxious to make it happen I can assure you!
Ubwade, I really like the super dense species for sleek feel, the vapor seems to be crisper IMO. They take a high glossy sheen naturally due to the tight...
