    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

Soon as I read the second fuse blew I knew we had a problem. The worst part is it's a one of a kind piece (red oak) so I can't just send out a new unit. This one will have to be serviced.

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

Haven't checked e-mail yet today, but get with us , Slip. We can help figure it out and get you a new wall adapter if that's the problem. Units will not be up to operating temps till about 30-45 minutes. After about 5-10 minutes you should be able to feel heat with a finger on the metal.

A Piece of Art: Just got my new Myrtlezap(lots of pictures included)!

No, the nyrtlewood is yours. Very pretty, like I said. Some pieces are spectacular. The alloy number gives all the info. 330, 260, 272 etc. are common tube alloys. I'm sure your supplier can tell you the alloy. Then there are no assumptions. The heat sink piece, top disk, and 1" sleeve are also...

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

Patience.. Update from PD land: Lots of time put into building the shop last week. Some of you know I was a carpenter, and this was a fun project. Pammy has a coat of paint on and I need to get trim done then roofing, but it's looking good. So, All Purple-Days are being built in the PD Shop...

Just to let you know, I was one of the customers who requested 'No holes please," So I would never design something into a PD that I didn't like. Again one of the many differences.

I thought there was to be no more Zap vs PD. And to dset you straight spyder, the Eterra came first. The patents for that device (1979) were expired when Rick started development from the Eterra he owned, He says so, and doesn't hide it. He did not steal anything. He developed a new product...

Yes, very dis-respectful, Cutty. Move on. About the science. You can't expect a guy making a few dozens or even a few hundreds to have University studies of his product. It would cost $600  , get my drift? (Big V) If Rick says he talked to a metallugergist, he did. It is not definitive...

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

actually there is a person working on this and thinks he has a viable 10,000 mA device. Should be small enough too. But there are bugs in any new device. really looking to see what he comes up with, it's not the usual 10 AAs run together setup. I can see where any 12V vaporist might have an...

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

The PD runs fine on AC or DC, the reason we give replacement power supply values in DC is that's what is commonly available. As far as 1000mA. The units will run fine on 1500 ma too. Thinking of it like a breaker or fuse, you just need adequate capacity and since the PD draws around 700mA...

I don't believe the oil will have any effect other than on the aroma of your vapor. And for the record: I have never said the A-Zap or the M-Zap are unsafe in any way. I just had concerns about my own use, and decided to do something about it. I have no idea if breathing heated air through...

We have no bad blood. Rick and I spent many hours in e-mail cobversations about lots of things other than vapes. We know each other in a private sense. But don't comminicate any more. They have their life we hjave ours. No bad blood that I'm aware of. Personal health issues (mine) and a very...

Madcap says, "its unfair to claim the purple days is the next evolutionary step in the design that started with the ettera. the purple days and myrtlezap and almost identical!" So untrue but it's his right to think and say anything.

Madcap says," also, i dont think its fair to call the aromazap and especially the myrtlezap ">purpledays" because there is lots of controversey surrounding that.". Not sure what contreoversy you are refering to, lots of differences, but no controversy which is which. Yes , new alloys are being...

Actually, Duh, I thought I used the Wicked Roots disclaimer in that quote, seems to be a popular disclaimer. When I bought our first Zap, they only mentioned Lead-Free solder. No mention of the Lead content of Brass. By accident I came across the article about the lead in the brass on...

Lwien, the reason is, myrtlewood is his signature wood. My buddy Dave up the road was supplying all the Myrtlewood and likely still is. It is very pretty stuff. And hard too. I would like to use it, but I think it would be an intrusion. Runner, the round design was what the Eterra (that...

A Piece of Art: Just got my new Myrtlezap(lots of pictures included)!

Lwien, the Myrtlewood is a nice hard wood. It's the wood I used to make the first myrtlewood Zap, from the parts of our failed Douglas Fir Aromazap. Myrtlewood is very pretty and should last a lot longer than the soft woods used in the Aromazap. Madcap, I thought you would like the Zap, good...
