We grind it pretty fine. Heating the load before you blow it out is a big help. Purple-Days sells extra tubes, click the tube pic on the catalog page. But really you may find it pretty easy to get that clip back in place.

If you are talking about the spring clips that hold the screens in place, they are seated pretty well down in there and will not move in normal use. If you poke around and catch one of the compression holes, you can snag the clip and dislofge it. Poking etc. is not the proper way to remove spent...
