I need to get off my ass and send my Herbie in for repairs and upgrades!
It was one of the first 50 released into the wild, so it is old and has ancient software...
One of the fans has also started to rattle.
Apart from the fan rattle, it still works perfectly!
Could use a tune up though!
The VD actually makes the GS look tiny! It is a chunky, large heater with a very long heating coil.
My GS runs a lot hotter than the VD does and I find I can extract bowls much better and more efficiently in the VD.
My GS seems to be very draw speed sensitive and so gives inconsistent hits a lot...
It will and I am thinking about that as well... Adding more mass to heat is always a good thing up to a point. The added turbulence would also be a great addition.
The unit has and internal hollow glass tube that is surrounded by the outside thicker glass.
This is sealed at the bottom and there...
My VD bowl is HUGE as it is a 29mm joint VS the 24mm of the GS.
This why I made my own bowl that uses an EQ bowl.
Just bought two of these bowls to test. should be a great smaller bowl that hopefully will fit an EQ bowl as well!
That AugustHaus controller is pretty dope looking!
Would be better with a wood enclosure though like their other controllers.
No concentrate use here at all, so no need for fancy temp stepping etc...:D
I love set it and rip it setups!:rockon::rockon:
It kicks some serious vapor out with great flavor!
It's almost on par with my VerDamper but not quite.
Unfortunately the VD claimed top place for Heavy Hitter on my desktop lineup!
Nothing better than deep cleaning my Glass Symphony from top to bottom on a Sunday morning.
Re-assemble and allow to heat soak...
Load a big bowl and go to flavor-town!
Heavy hitting before lunch!
My GS stays on my desk 24/7 but rarely gets used these days.
With JoJo on hiatus, hopefully a...
Since we are throwing ideas around...
How about a mixed media vape, combining the best characteristics of a variety of materials?
A few ruby, boro etc spheres...
I remember chatting with JoJo about the GS and he mentioned adding smaller beads to increase the draw resistance if required or...
@muunch
Holy shit Batman!!!
Instant Heat, well almost instant from the videos but damn fast!
How is the flavor at 5 compared to 3.5 on the dial?
ABV looks perfect for me as well!
Thanks for doing all this testing in the name of science!!
:science::borg:
When you buy the vape kit, it comes with the adapter mounted to a block of wood with 2 holes drilled in it.
One for the heater and one for the bowl. Very basic but it works.
I am not sure why they are not more popular.
Could be because they are glass and cost quite a bit.
Missed that...
May want to discontinue the thread then.
The price was listed as US$700 but he said that was just to put something up on the website and was not the actual price.
With hardly any proof of concept and quite wild ideas, he most likely spent way too much on R&D and ran out of money.
Any news, updates for us?
No activity from you for almost 2 years now and I see your website is also gone.
@Stu
Have you heard anything around the water-cooler??
This is sweet but way too expensive to be feasible...
It is an induction heater. I would imagine the maker attaches the plate to the banger before he sells them.
Very interesting website...LOL!
You cannot click on anything to get more info! What you read is what you get, no more details at all...
Company closed down a week ago, medical field...
So far this has been my project!
Installed this and still have a bit of the railing to do! Have to keep busy although the trim has to wait now...
And had a bit of fun in the corner!
Next up is the carpet on the stairs and then some...
I am pondering adding some small glass beads to it for more heat retention.
I have to get my RooR clone out and see what can be done!
It is a beast of a vape that requires a nice long heat soak but once ready, you are ready for as long as you can take it!
Herbo and NV are two very heavy...
