Ooh those look good! I’ve had a few of the cox crosses that were a little sweet for my taste but otherwise great. Looks like this list is probably the most popular/common US cultivars rather than an exhaustive international list
I’ve had basically every apple on this list and the only ones I haven’t found worth eating raw were the mealy ones (typically red/golden delicious and galas, but when they’re fresh they’re amazing), and the granny smiths. But my mom’s a masochist and only eats granny smiths raw, mostly because...
The finishing grinder is nice but never noticed a huge improvement between it and a typical fine grind other than being able to grind directly into the chamber with the finishing grinder. That said, it is nice to have if you either plan to use the MFLB regularly or if you have other conduction...
Does anyone happen to know how often the davinci store restocks dosing capsules or where else I might be able to find them? Just picked up an iq2 for a little more variety in my vape rotation but unfortunately most of the accessories I wanted were sold out.
With my FW7 I’d just remove the lid, turn it upside down and blow through the mouthpiece firmly but gently to eject the puck while the oven is still warm (you get the hang of it after a few tries) which should work if the retaining rings don’t allow the crucible to fall out. If you want to save...
Why is the new plug tapered so sharply? Looks like the tip is intended as a tool to unscrew the retaining cap, but does it also work as an adjustable air intake?
Edit: whoops, missed that the new manual was posted. Looks like the little cap has a little extendable tamper. Neat!
I personally love it, I despise lighted screens and beeps since those tend to be more noticeable from further away, and unless you leave your vape on an amplifying surface like a table folks are more likely to be hit with the smell before hearing the buzz.
Definitely would be nice if more...
Afaik the steampunk is the same as the regular AVLP, but with a different color scheme and a gear themed sticker on the inside of the lid. It’s always been slightly more expensive than the regular avlp ($299 instead of $269), but lately has been favored for ~$100 discounts.
Definitely a great...
Pretty sure it’s exactly the inspiration since the rings + perc looks an awful lot like the diagram of the 9 layers of hell that he travels through.
Here’s a diagram from pintrest
I personally prefer my 9 to my 7 entirely due to the capsules. It’s less convenient to unload on the go but it’s so much easier to clean since you can soak the capsules (and also prep multiple at a time if you need more than 1 per session).
Seconding the FW9, been my favorite vape for taking on walks, primarily since the stem can be fully retracted into the body. The crucible system takes a bit to get used to, but it keeps the device clean and if you get an extra batch of crucibles you can preload several batches and swap them out...
Doesn’t the ceramic glow though? Silver surfer and vaporbrothers type vapes definitely can be left on indefinitely, but wasn’t sure if the glowing heating element was against the limitations.
How long will the vape need to stay on? For a desktop, you could try a log vape with a screenless power supply like a Couchlog or Underdog. They’re able to stay turned on around 24h and you won’t need to adjust the dial once you find your preferred temperature.
