Stay tuned in the FW3 thread to see what I think about how those parameters affect the FW3. We have found for the ESV that these parameters can make a huge difference in results. Many tend to stick with a similar approach for getting the best results with the ESV, however you would be able to...
That review you quoted seems to be about the previous version of the Firewood only. I have not had previous versions but the version 3 is simply turn on, set temp and start pulling. The "parameters" mentioned by KeroZen do affect performance, but they do not make the Firewood require a huge...
The USB port on my first ESV dislodged itself from the ESV body and I could not plug the cable into the port anymore because it would push back into the hollow space inside the body of the ESV. I sent it back to Joe and had it back within 6 days from the day I shipped it. Im east coast too but...
I have asked these same questions so I can answer them for you as well. Walnut, maple and cherry are the species of wood used. The wood is not finished. Beeswax is more of a sealer/protectant/restorer to the original wood.
I am sure finishing the device would be easy, but you would need to make...
You can get it for $250 today. Do yourself a favor and call Joe. His number is on the ipuffusa.com site. He will answer and give you the deal and you will be talking to the same person you would call if there is ever any issue with your vape. Not many other portable vaporizers can offer such...
Elevape Smart and Firewood 3 both have killer black friday deals and have no inert materials in their vapor paths. ESV is completely aluminum. The Firewood has a wood body with a ceramic/glass heater and glass mouthpiece and heating chamber. Neither will ever offgas and neither has any plastic...
I typically start on setting 2 and bump up to 3 at the end. I rarely use temp 4 without an attachment but I have and you can....just be cautious with drieir strains to keep a steady draw. If you slow down mid draw you can combust on temp 4.
I take the o ring off before soaking the lid, but soaking the lid and screen in 70% iso overnight has never done anything to it besides make it like new. Like Mr Mellish I too have soaked everything except the heating block and o ring overnight many times. More often, I just clean the device...
This is the option paytonpenn and I have taken. You have to carry around the pack but its small(half the size of the FW3) and only as heavy as the extra four batteries.
Here are a few pics of the Firewood next to the battery pack and ESV
Just google "USB Male To 5.5x2.1mm Plug DC Power Supply Socket Extension Cable Cord" and you will get a ton of results. The problem you will have is finding a USB power supply that will put out 5A. They only go up to 2A typically. If you find one, please do post it.
Also there is a battery pack option that can be used to provide direct power to your FW3 or charge it. http://www.frys.com/product/7726858?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
When I asked Marc about using http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/131318469799?ul_noapp=true&chn=ps&lpid=82 and this is the response I...
Any chance you will have a sale on your accessories. I am not sure I can convince myself that I need a second FW3 by Monday but I sure would love to get an extra mouthpiece or two and an extra charger.
I often turn the device on and pick a temp while it is in my pocket so that I can just pull it out and rip. The pockets in some of my Jeans are small and tight, like my cellphone(which has a bulky case) and the device in the same pocket would feel slightly uncomfortable but I have no problem as...
I have been using my Firewood 3 for a few weeks now and I like to use it more than my ESV.
I like the taste of the ESV hands down...but there isn't much competition out there when it comes to taste with the ESV. The clouds are just as good and even better in the FW3 in my opinion. The FW3 has...
Thanks for this input. I got two of those battery packs. I like how they are about the same width and thickness of the Firewood. One could easily tie a rubberband around the two to keep them together I would think. I'm assuming it makes the Firewood twice as heavy also.
I was going to get the...
Does the clear glass separate from the colored glass? How do you heat this up? It looks really nice! I am not sure if this is a piece to hook up to a plug in or if its supposed to be like a vapolution but it looks like it could be either.
