The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

@Brenyo Would you foresee any problems with us experimenting with SIC balls? Would it potentially throw the visual indicator off?

If Tempest gets delayed I'm eyeing up a Couchlog in the meantime. I've really cut my rotation down. Actually running out of vapes!

Completed B0 set up. UK and Europe only as PID and Coil is 220V. (£175 PP Inc postage)

Perfect working condition. Comes with Freight train 18mm glass bowl (considered best glass bowl for this vape) Also comes with custom hand made wood handle with beautiful colours. Only thing missing is a stand, but I just used a ceramic mug like many others. This is a great price for someone...

I would be interested to hear back from you if you experiment with Sic. Would it increase heat up time significantly? I know they are better for heat retention. Could be the perfect device to try them. Sic balls are overkill in electric ball vapes as they are plugged in. But a portable butane...

So I've come to realize that I prefer using the rimmed screens that hold 0.1. I just prefer the extra airflow, and how the screen clips into some stems and stays there. I've noticed it only fits properly into the extra long 3d cooling stem, and the stock stems. The artisan stems like the pill...

The heat setting is a physical dial underneath the device. Select your temp, then press the button 3 times. The device is now on. Now hold the button until it vibrates. It is now up to temp and ready to extract.

The stem with the glass WPA. Is that 14mm connection? It also seems shorter than the standard wooden stem, is this the case?

I'm absolutely going to do the same. For me it's a big strength of the visual indicator. After first cycle we can just go again. Second cycle will require less heat up. If it works how it seems it would in my imagination it will be a temp stepping beast alongside something like TM2.

@Brenyo When using for low temp hits, can the device maintain the extraction throughout the hit? Don't know if I'm phrasing this well. I'm worried a low temp hit will start with good extraction, but mid hit the temp of the balls might drop enough to stop extraction before the hit is finished...

Are issues with wood resin still a thing? Are any of the wood types free from this issue? Or resistant to it?

Could you do it without the funnel, then cover the chamber with your thumb and shake out the material around the ledge? The extra process of adding/removing a funnel does.not excite me at all.

How is the straw packing method? Is it messy? I'm used to doing it with the TM2 if anyone can give a comparison. I would be using the CL stems as WPAs. I've realised I despise using scoops for my B0. Just hate it so much. I like having multiple small bowls (0.1-0.15) so the reload ritual has...

@Brenyo You probably have it all under wraps. But thought I would chip in with the calibration. I noticed in the early release models the click happens when the snap disc visual indicator is at the high mark. Yet the resulting AVB is not roasted enough to warrant that. I think the only thing...

7s for better heat retention is nothing. Thought it would be a much bigger trade off. Think I'll be putting Zirc in day one

How does the direct flow tube work? Does it bypass all the cooling mechanisms?

All dry herb vapes contend with variables. I used to combust in my Anvil sometimes if I had certain strains. My response was just to aim the torch slightly higher. To be fair if you hate the TM2 ability to change temp setting instantly, then you are missing out on one of its main features and...

All this talk of high heat hits. Who else only uses TM2 on really high settings? Do you get even extraction? How many hits do you get from your bowls? What stem option do you use for this?

No offense taken. I'm struggling to imagine how it could happen as well. The O-ring does get smeared with something over time. No idea what it is. Could be good old regular dust. It's the only thing that has a question mark for me. The other concerns I've had eased previously before I purchased.

The only concern raised that bothers me is the aluminium dust that gathers on the O-ring. Only notice it when I remove the O-ring. So hopefully it never gets into the vape path anyway. Not even sure it is aluminium dust.

9 is on the cusp of combustion. So it's probably just your flower. New strain, or it's dryer than it was. I run mine at 3, but sometimes I get a strain that needs 4 to get good vapour. If you like vaping at the very edge of combustion, you have to accept sometimes other variables will tilt...
