The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Not killer. The Anvil will remain a great vape. I think Tempest is superior in several key ways for me imo. I won't go into detail. A comparison thread can be made for those interested and I'll try to give fair feedback in it.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Hype is justified. I was hyped beyond belief based on what I thought the device would be like. But it's surpassed my expectations in some critical categories. So hype away, you won't be disappointed. I'll be posting a detailed write up this evening. I'm just finishing it up. Edit - Yes you can...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I'll give it a spin on my lunch break and pay close attention to the visual indicator. Then I'll let you know.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

It honestly is. I just got my wand so don't know how to set timers yet. I'm just timing it with my wrist watch. 35s is nothing. It just flies by. That's literally a Ballvape (desktops) bowl preheat time. 35s for this level of extraction is cutting edge. I get the criticism if waiting for a...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I'm getting full extraction at around 35-37s with the Tempest and wand. Doesn't feel slow at all. Remember you are not waiting for a Dynavap heat cycle, which is 30% extraction of 0.1g. With Tempest you are waiting 35s for complete extraction of 0.15g. My current issue with the wand is more...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Just realized I gave you circumference not diametre. In my defense I've had 5 Tempest bowls today and I'm feeling altered to put it mildly.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I just measured it at exactly 40mm circumference. Maybe wait for Brenyo to confirm with a thumbs up.

It's a potent little bugger. I'm glad I took the afternoon off work.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Just a little teaser for you all. I had a test unit delivered today. I'll be testing it all night, and I've been using it most the day. I'm writing down my thoughts and will post a detailed rundown of my experience most likely tomorrow. I'll make some videos as well. I just want to say that I...

Ahh good point. In that case I still don't think heat up time is a big deal, as subsequent heat cycles will be quicker. So the initial 45sec heat up is like a primer. I can't imagine ever not having the patience for that.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I find IH heat up times to be a moot point. No current vape allows back to back heat cycles in quick succession with a IH while having a single clue what temp your second cycle will be. So most people must be doing single heat extractions with these vapes (Anvil, Dani etc) at which point is 45...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

There will be a Wand adaptor for the Tempest available day one. The adaptor let's the Tempest sit in the device and will hold it there. So you can use it hands free. So it seems the Wand has a sort of unofficial designation as the supported IH. At least until MadHeaters release theirs.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Makes sense to do it this way. If IH came out first, it would likely not have been compatible to the Tempest

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Looks like alien tech. Very cyberpunk. I love that the design is about pure function, yet it looks so damn cool. Nothing superfluous.

I'm going with the blue stem and silver shell. Just because it's more blue than silver.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I'll be going blue/silver. I love the combo, and it matches some of my other gear. I think all the colours will look lovely in person.

    Angus and Mighty comparison

I'm currently also of the opinion that portable ball vape + wand is currently the best portable offering. I'm at a point where portable electronic session vapes annoy me more than affect me. The feeble effects aren't worth sitting there for 10 minutes sucking out thin vapour. Only session vape...

    Angus and Mighty comparison

Yeah sorry I reread your comment. Seems you want a no fuss portable session vape. I guess it probably is between the two. I didn't like my Angus and sent it back. However I've since owned a mighty plus and didn't like that either. They are both not easy to clean. Angus better but not by much...

    Angus and Mighty comparison

If you already have Mighty then you should buy a vape that does different things. Maybe something on demand like a TM2. Buying mighty and Angus is like wearing a normal watch and a smart watch on the same wrist. Just redundant.
