With most vapes, you can tell when your session is ending because of the change in taste (darker, popcorn, whatever) but with the Crafty, the vapor just "runs out." No burnt taste, it just stops producing, and it feels lonely/sad! Just an observation...
Last night I did one session on a full battery and ended up at 49% afterwards. So, now I'm down from 3 sessions per charge to two. Plus, I don't even pack full bowls; I do half bowls with the oil pad on top. Now, that says great things about the efficiency for sure; got more hits than I could...
Good point, just spent over $700 between my Ascent and Crafty, S&B battery pack, RYOT smell safe cases and Ed's stem's, and I'm still frustrated with both! Amazing. I definitely have VAS  Btw, is there a thread on the Grasshopper anywhere here on FC? I don't see one...
I've also used the sleeve method, with just the straw MP sticking out. I've also kept it in the RYOT smell safe bag, with the straw MP sticking out. Both methods make the unit a bit hotter, however....
I'm not sure. But for $400 this blows. I can see 1-2 years from now, these units improved...
I've been meaning to try exactly that, thank you! Or even over the whole light, and let it dim through... Great solution. Just need some gaff tape (for my hand grenade : )
I tried turning it off, but then you only have a quick buzz to let you know when you're at temp, and if you miss it, you have no way of knowing (without looking at a phone.) No way to live; and besides, I own an iPhone 4 so no dice. I also tried the "heating in pocket on the way out", but...
I tried that- the problem then is that you have only a quick buzz to tell you when you are at temp, and if you miss it, you have no way of knowing where you are! I can't live blindly with just a buzz. I know "look at your phone!" Anyway, another reason why I'm going to get the Pax 2
@pakalolo yes, less resistance is what I meant! I'm glad you feel the flat one is better, and that the difference between the two are small. I think the flat is where it's at! Thanks again...
To turtleatabeach I've owned the Crafty for 3 months, and at this point, I would choose the Pax 2. I'm...
First post on my beloved Crafty- I've had it for 3 months. I love the hits, and the efficiency using the pad, but I'm really getting sick of how long it takes to heat up, especially on boost temp. I'm outside at a club, watching it blink red for 3 minutes or more, ridiculous. And I turned down...
On Sneaky Pete's review (posted on Page 4), he mentioned that the flared MP hits better than the flat one. Thoughts on that? Didn't see any detailed discussion on that so far.... thanks!
Talking about a device one hasn't experienced yet makes no sense to me! At this point, Pakalolo is the only person I would listen to. And thank you, for all the pics and helpful info :)
Yes, the oven lid. I've dropped it in the past and had my load spill out. If it was a full packed bowl it would fall out in one piece, but if it was a smaller looser load, it would be history. I was hoping the Pax 2 would have a hinged lid, but perhaps the deeper bowl means that the lid will sit...
The manager of my local head shop was told by his distributer to expect a Pax 2 by the end of the month. I then searched this forum, and found that ShayWhiteGrow received an email from Ploom saying stay tuned for something new soon! We'll see...
Hey Carolking, thank you for your great posts all through this thread! Curious if you think Ed's blackwood stems have a better draw then then the glass stems? I heard they have one big hole with a screen as opposed to the 3 small holes in the glass, thanks
Hi, I've searched here for info on using the included screens, but couldn't locate on this thread. If you place the screen (or the oil jars with the rubber top) aren't you ruining the glass on glass path?
