This has been my experience as well. I've always been content to just keep puffing away until I'm good and high.

The best idea, I think, given the inherent problems of multiple versions, is to start at the low-end of the recommended range (say 165) and work your way up (over multiple sessions if need be) until you find the optimum point.

Could it be that since there are so many different revisions of the V-Tower/Extreme that different temperatures are better on different units? Well after much reading, hair-pulling, and general indecisiveness about what my next vape should be (I considered PD, SSV, and Glass VG as well), I saw the EQV new for $165 yesterday and pulled the trigger. Unbelievably excited for it to get here.

^ I agree. The simple fact that there is some kind of unusual taste in the vapor is proof that something in the air path is reacting and going into your lungs. It could be harmless, but personally that information was enough to make me look elsewhere when I started vaping.
