I bought my first Firefly in February 2014. Bought a second one, along with a spare battery and external charger, in March 2014. The second unit I bought failed and was replaced in November 2014, so I received a fourth battery in November 2014.
None of the four 750 mAH batteries I have hold...
I had four of the 750 mah batteries (2 FFs) and generally needed to swap them out each time I used the FF. Each of my sessions is 2-3 hits. I have the external charger. I was constantly seeing the "red light", constantly charging and swapping batteries. Getting maybe 3-4 hits out of each...
Did anyone notice that he assembled it incorrectly? He placed the small black o-ring beneath the metal plate (see 6:12). It is supposed to be above the metal plate, surrounding the screen. That way it prevents material from working its way around the screen and into the heating chamber.
:uhoh:
A HUGE consideration for me is the smell that a vape produces during a session. I haven't tried a Pax 2 yet, however when comparing the Firefly to the original Pax (or any other vape that I've used for that matter) I will say that none of them come close to the Firefly in the odor stealth...
Sorry but I don't think mine is a "confirmed case". Two separate events. None of the combustion I experienced was preceded by an observable "spark" from the coil (not that I could see). And when I did see a "spark" it did not lead to combustion.
Also the "spark" may have been caused by...
Some of the combustion experiences I've had with the FF are similar to those of @Marctraider. I experienced combustion only seconds into the first draw of a cold unit, so it was not an issue of overheating.
I frequently use my FF in front of a mirror in a dark bathroom, so I can see the glow...
I received a repaired unit back from Firefly. Not from Vapeworld, however - they sent me a new one.
I bought it from Vapeworld, but Firefly accepted it back on the first return. It still worked, but needed some repair. A piece of the ceramic ring had chipped off, seemed like it may have been...
Another "Firefly conundrum"...
I find the 7 hole Iolite screen makes my Firefly run cooler. I use it in my Silver FF (which runs hotter than my Grey) to prevent combustion.
I've had uncontrollable combustion in the Silver, but none since I started using the 7 hole Iolite screen (knocking on wood).
I've been meaning to bring this up but kept forgetting...:)
In the discussions of techniques to get vapor from the Firefly, have we ever discussed the time taken between hits? I know that @Vitolo has said he never stirs, only shakes, and so do I. I never open the lid during a session, nor do I...

HP = High Performance
SP = Standard Performance
LV = Low Voltage
SV = Standard Voltage
You get one from column A (performance) and you get one from column B (voltage).
I don't recall which combinations are available, but I have 3 total.
The "original" would be considered SP/SV. Somewhere...
I plead guilty to introducing irrelevant information into the discussion :)
I was aware that it was highly unlikely that @Dragonfly experienced C02 narcosis during his sessions. Thanks for calling me out on that.
The information regarding diffusion in the dead space was something I forgot...
I think this was directed at me, but I think you have the wrong poster :)
I have 3 different Evo cores (HP/SP/LV/SV etc...) and I never loved any of them.
C02 narcosis is not oxygen starvation. Unless functioning in a diseased state, the human body is compelled to breathe in response to elevated C02 levels, not decreased oxygen levels. I will concede, however, that it is unlikely that you would feel the effects of C02 narcosis for the duration of...
Holding a hit will also increase your C02 level in your blood, as 02 goes into the blood from the alveoli, and C02 goes into the alveoli from the blood. If you hold your hit the C02 is not expelled. The primary drive for humans to breath is not lack of oxygen but increased C02 levels. Increased...
Not "simple science" at all. "More contact time" only equals "more absorption" if you make one pretty major assumption:
1. Your lungs don't absorb all of the THC they can in the first several seconds.
I've read enough scientific opinions on this, as it pertains to smoke, that I am fully...
I ordered from theyoyokid1 on eBay and got my item the NEXT DAY via USPS. I'm in CA, and so is the seller, so it went fast... But no problems with USPS on my order.
