I’ve soaked my V1 head in iso, fully assembled, and never had any issues. The visual indicator still worked fine after many iso soaks. I think the main thing is to let it fully dry before using.
Yes, an IH will cause discoloration. Just not as bad as a torch. I actually like the even discoloration my Tornado has from only seeing the Wand and probably won’t bother deep cleaning it. But it’s easy to remove if you really feel the need.
I really hope shipping goes smoothly. I can’t wait to get my hands on the V2!
My girlfriend isn’t even a gear nerd like me, but when I showed her the V2, she got pumped and can’t wait to try mine.
The airflow looks to be similar to the V1 where you just rotate the sleeve on the cap to adjust airflow on the head. Not sure about the stem airflow. I assume you rotate the sleeve there too.
Yeah, I haven’t heard that about the Tornado, specifically. I do always hear people say to not iso soak Dynavap caps. But that if you do, just make you rinse it good and let it completely dry. Otherwise you can mess up the click discs if you heat up the cap while there’s still moisture in there...
That’s how I look at it. I have sold a handful of vapes on the EntExchange and don’t regret it. None of them were bad vapes or anything, but I simply didn’t use them anymore. I made some money back and the buyers saved some money compared to buying new. Win-win.
I know there’s a new Wand adapter coming with the V2, and I believe it’s silicon. Just wondering if there’s like a hole in the bottom, or if there’s any way to watch the Visual Indicator from the bottom for doing reheats like you could with the glass adapter.
My Tornado juuuust barely fit into my Wand when it was cold. Then on the first heat up, the Tornado head expanded from the heat and chipped the rim of the Wand glass. Didn’t break it or anything, but now it fits fine.
I also saw on Reddit, some people have taken a Dremel and widened the glass...
