The Q almost naturally does the elbow trick. Especially with the DDA, the material will collect in the elbow screen after a few pulls so I do a little burst out to lower it back into the bowl. Kind of mixes it up as the cyclone does.
You will love the Q. Very versatile and affordable.
I have never had this, whiff or taste, with the Summit. Now the Titan II is another thing.
The Q does taste the best...just kinda slow overall compared to the Vapium.
Tried a bit in the old Q and it is very cool and smooth vapor. Efficient as it always was and is... with the original DD short adapter.
And very glad to see Arizer now offering silicone tubing. Still very glad I bought it.
While not as tasty, the darn Summit is just so fast and easy.
Thought I would pop over here and see how the EQ thread is going. It's making me want to pull mine out and give 'er a go. Haven't used it since I got a Vapium Summit in July. It's all cleaned up with a polish job on the black metal and a clean DDA & elbow w/black silicone tubing.
Yes, any silver looking screen you see for vaporizers will work, just need to cut them down to size. They last a very long time too - I don't think HD is going to have them though. Try eBay or your local head shop.
And pick up some rubbin' alcohol and some bristle pipe cleaners to keep...
Yes, did the bend the Zen end (a bit) and then fed from the MP end. Slowly. Made a 90 degree bend at one end to mark the other ends slight upward bend.
Once it poked itself out of the hole it was forcefully grabbed at each end and then the back and forth scrubbing action commenced. :rofl...
Mrs. Claus got me some beefy Zen pipe cleaners that have nylon line twisted in them that make for a very effective scrub. My Summit is six months old now and I guess I've just gotten used to how restricted the air path had become. I also surmise it was worst right where the tube makes it's 90...
One has to not obstruct the air flow when using a SS mesh screen as it allows more air flow and that air can be hot. Toasted lips or tongues aren't fun. I think this also allows a bit more conduction, but the Summit seems to work best with the stock screen for some reason. Mostly on taste and...
To display vapor I've taken to using a good LED flashlight or the Range Hood light over the stove which serves two purposes, it shows the vapor and the fan carries away said expelled vapor. I still love the crap outta my Summit...just in case you were wondering. Very efficient device.
I love this thing more every damn day. I just hope the battery lasts me at least for a few years and I do understand why some wish it warned when going to standby. One wonders if this is it for Vapium or whether they address some thing more than just the USB cover. I don't think I'm in any...
I was just playing around with the clear mouth cap/guard and have a few things to ponder. One, I wonder if a solid cap would keep the smell down by sealing it off and two, the cap/guard does allow more air in and doesn't provide as direct of a pull. I now remove the cap when in use and put it...
It does smell a bit. The Pax 2 is less smelly, eh? The battery life has been touted as an issue, but it charges pretty darn fast on an A/C USB and it lasts OK for me.
I only have the Summit and non of the others you mentioned, so take this as you will, but I break glass and the Summit has nothing to easily break. Unless that is, you throw it down hard on concrete or from a great height. It's taken a few spills on thick carpet and Oak flooring with no issue...
Whoa, tried a stainless steel screen and it needs a bit of finessing after using the stock two. You get more vapor a lot easier since there is no resistance which can make it harsher. Definitely better flavor with the stock one.
Maybe I'll try putting the stock on bottom and use the SS to hold...
I have thought about a normal stainless steel screen and will now give it a try as the damn loop on the Summit screen breaks off after a while and I'm down to my last one. I thought the air flow would be better with a normal screen and it probably is. Thanks for the heads up on that.
Still...
