The 'coarseness' of the ID of the poly tube is a thing we have been working on.
I bored 280 tubes today, on a very true drill press, using a 2 axis vise and a Cherry-wood jig and Maple clamp. About two years of tube advancement. But A short employment in a plastics plant taught me a few things...
It's alright, the cost isn't important. We will ship via Express in the AM, then you get the 'whole picture' rather than portions. There are video, text and picture (with captions) instructions that all work together. Pictures or text or video by themselves might not present as clear an image.
No, no need, I take your urgency seriously, but the post office doesn't open till morning. It is Sunday. You have as long as you want to review it, there is no urgency in that sense, you have as long as it takes to get the DVD and then take as long as you like to review it. This is an exception...
DC current suffers far worse than AC transmission, over distance. AC extension cord size is a factor also in power transmission. ^^^ just thinking the same thing the lightest weight 50 foot cord, even two linked would be fine, except when using a heavy draw appliance like a table saw... :2c:
I'm not sure what the urgency is, as I said, the DVD will be sent in the morning. And you have as long as you like to review and decide.
The problem isn't knowing how to 'extract' the files. I put them there, I can get them out... The problem is it is the greater part of a DVD and at almost 3...
Flyer understood exactly.
On the missing package. Lots of us are honest folks, honesty even gets me in trouble sometimes. But after hearing about the TV show where folks (80%) are willing to physically hurt someone for a prize, or because someone says it's OK, well I'm disappointed, but...
Oh well, just one of those things that happens. You never know... it might show up some day, but I have serious doubts. It's a very strange set of circumstances that surround the 'loss'. But, this gives us even more reason, to put a hold on new orders and get caught up.
Moving on, I mentioned this over in the availability thread, we have asked our friends at VapeNow to stop taking new orders for the Purple-Days Diffuser. We will complete all existing orders before new orders are accepted. Looks like 14 weeks of production if all holds on schedule. And that will...
Of course there is more going on. But as you point out, Lwien, posting private e-mail is against the rules, so the whole story will never come out. And posting 'excerpts' is just funny.
BTW this fellow not only got his full refund, but we paid his return postage too.
If it's not just a bit of dust and wood splinters and would continue this at all, unplug and contact us, we will get it sorted. Could be as simple as that, or maybe you have a short from crossed wires etc. But if you have any further trouble stop and get an e-mail off to us. Pammy just noticed...
ewhitey718, welcome. It is mentioned in the availability thread that we have asked VapeNow to stop taking new orders. A hold up of one shipment and a complete loss of another has made the waiting list get out of hand. We are going to catch up and start fresh. Current lead time is about 13 weeks...
The lost package is just one of those freak things. Oh well... things happen. :2c:
p.s. thanks Mom, health is steady. We are dedicated to customer satisfaction, but you can't make everyone happy. So in the end, we need to balance. Eliminating the existing wait list is a start...
Some things are changing. And we will get to that later.
For now, I can inform you all that there was some hang up with the shipment that left here on 2-10... it took almost a month for Amazon to 'receive' it and re-ship. The package of units shipped on 2-24 has gone missing completely! UPS...
Yes that's the entasis factor. Optical manipulation. But it might be reversed with two other examples of either model. There isn't a PD shape and a Pandora shape, they are the same, but vary. Devo has one of the best examples of entasis, exaggerated even. ;)
There is a notch filed into the chop...
No biggie, we all miss stuff, I just thought, I said it best, there and would screw it up this time.
Images are sometimes deceptive. the one in post #12 by Devo shows the left one shorter, but they are pretty close in height when measured (I bet). Maybe Devo can confirm this. +/- 1/8" , pretty...
Hehehe, that was funny Tac. Good one, wish I could use it.
I'll get back to the geometry, and other marginally interesting stuff.
Later:
Ok, It's marginally interesting and involves math... There we lost most folks...
A cylinder (the bowl) can be expanded in two...
High, check paragraph 2, post #21, page 1. is an explanation of size. ;)
Yep. Not all Forstners are created equal. :uhoh: BTW a Forstner bit is a bit that drill a flat bottom hole. I actually prefer the cheaper, tool steel bits (I have to hand sharpen them) over the carbides (no sharpening)...
It is a small tool to use when seating the clip. Something to ramrod the clip home, it has a hole in the center to get over the heat exchanger tube and put even pressure on the clip. We have a shipment of Birch dowel coming, harder and better than what was available here in town.
Update on the...
