Mmmm, the Japanese. ;) Love their stuff. Think it's wierd, but love it. One of the few places I would go out of my way to visit.
But, they don't have the market on wierd cornered. Here is one from India.

Moe in case you missed it you don't need quotes around "Clyde". It's my name, though most people around me know me as Tom my first name. Clyde the Carpenter was my working name most jobsites. And in dealing with Rick shortly after retirement I still went by my job name with people who were not...
No you did not test the same parts that I did. Unless you took the MZ apart and you make no mention of that you were not testing the parts I was. And those parts are in the airpath. Don't you get it? Rick says his product has leaded brass parts.
You are so funny Rick.
As stated earlier...
Wrong, Rik. Haven't you used solder? When you heat the solder don't you see vapor? That vapor is not made of fairy dust. It's the metallic elements in vapor form being released into the air you breathe. And if you think only melting or boiling can release the lead, read on.
And BTW, Rick, I...
Welcome to the forum Ginni.
Stainless steel is an industry standard in the commercial food preperation industry. Also for brewing and milk processing etc. You are probably using a stainless steel spoon to eat your Wheaties. When you go for bloodwork they insert stainless steel into you, it is...
Let's get something straight, one more fucking time, I have never said the Aromazap or Myrtlezap were un-safe. I have never said you will get Lead poisoning from using one of these products.
@ Obelisk - Maybe you missed post #83
"Our brass is alloy 260 which is lead free. Thank you for your...
If you test a Lead Free portion of the item, it's not surprising you get a negative result. But other parts using Brass with Lead added test positive.

I haven't done the test on the bronze colored sleeve yet and don't know what results to expect. But...
The archived pages are there because you asked for them. Get the timeline straight. It wasn't till late 2007 that I found out. Only because of questioning his advertising copy. And only because this new LEAD FREE issue has come up am I posting any of this.
And the post #284 quote is there...
I found out about the Lead, in the product I was breathing through from Rick, in late 2007. And I am still pissed. Since you seem to have forgotten part of the story I will remind you.
I was working at Rick's request to help re-word some of his FAQ page. Rick's FAQ at the time stated Lead...
What the 'risk taker' comment directed at all mfgs?
BTW
#284 in the MZ thread where Rick says,
"...Another thing. I am a risk taker to some degree. I come from two sides of my family being alcoholics. I eat too much meat and love bacon and farm fresh eggs. I also probably drink too much since...
NO, we can't, that is obvious.
This is not a personal feud. It's about any mfg who would take risks...
And those who don't want to inform themselves can read other threads. What I posted is factual. Exactly was asked when the thread was re-opened.
Stopping the discussion validates the use...
Breathing through a Lead filled product for a couple of years, from a vape manufacturer who was touting his Lead Free solder at the time of the sale has me a bit peeved. Yep ! Totally pissed off ! :2c: After seeing that pink paper today, confirming what was hidden for so long, Pammy is...
Is that your best shot? Name calling?
What is childish about doing a test? Seems some folks are confused. This may help clear up the questions. The product I tested has Lead. Period, as they say.:2c:
BTW I have way more business than I can handle, this has nothing to do with my product or our...
From post #83 :
Rick says, "I have been using your brass tubing for close to ten years in a product I make."
Since you have been using the same brass for ten years, we can pull a heat exchanger, or heatport as you like to call it, from any older Zap for this test. Why not the one that Pammy...
Somehow I had hit the smiles exemption button and things like  were coming up rolleyes with the bracketed colons instead of how they should look. I also probably added a comma or two. Go ahead Rik, make things up as you go along. Wing it buddy, it's how you work, you have...
The metals we are talking about are alloys. Finally  (see post #3) Rick finds the alloy numbers (C260) and shares them, on one portion of his airpath, the tubing. (BTW there are other components to Rick's airpath. The top disk and sleeve are not mentioned at all. :uhoh: )
As stated...
