I can report I've cleaned my balls once so far. I just noticed they were rattling less, so must have had a little reclaim.
Cleaning was easy. Just soaked cap in iso for 30 mins, rinsed with hot water. Woke up next day, did a heat cycle to boil off the water in the cap. Done.
The honeymoon phase stuff is just people giving a counter balance to their glowing praise. Early on with vapes we notice the good and ignore the bad.
However I'm approaching 100 days of constant use and I stand by all my early praise. All things considered it's probably my favourite vape of all...
I think I've used it everyday for 3 months at this point. I love it just as much as day one. Still finding new ways to modify It. It's such a special vape. Tempest is him.
Yeah Tempest doesn't need supplementary vapes, for those who prefer minimalism. Can handle indoors/outdoors, quick hits/long sessions, can be heated in various ways and is easy to clean. It has all the versatility needed to be a do it all vape for some people.
Personally I'm enjoying...
Oh I mean I'm not using my VI for reheats. I'm just drawing on device until vapour is thick. Haven't combusted doing this. It will be my technique until I have tuned VI.
Yes maybe I'm combining both in my judgement. So in CL case only the open grain nature of the oak is applicable. Thanks for the correction
My apologies. I should have been aware of that posting rule. I don't think a new thread will be necessary, as my aspersions have already been corrected by...
I would like some more neutral woods. All are quite sensitizing. Apart from Oak. But isn't Oak an open pored wood? It's susceptible to moisture and mold.
Just don't see why we can't get some Cherrywood. I thought Germany has it natively. Far too much emphasis on exotic wood imo, which many...
Really glad to see you are enjoying it. With regards to combustion, as my VI is also not tuned, and I haven't modified my wand adaptor either, I heat chained bowls in the wand, while I'm drawing on it.
I reload the Tempest (hot) then put it in the wand for about 15 seconds then I start drawing...
Tempest has me using more than usual. But I think that's good in my case. I need to use for chronic pain condition. I've had many vapes in the past that became a chore in some way, and I didn't keep on top of medicating myself.
I agree with Tempest being pleasurable, but what's more important...
Just watched the T&J coverage. I was being harsh. Troy did fuck it up at first, due to treating it like a dynavap. But their second hit they got it and showed what it can do.
The combustion was just due to him being super high already. It was really entertaining actually.
Troy used to make a lot more reviews on his 420vapezone site. He did it really professionally. He is actually a very talented reviewer.
The ThinkDank content is a lot more unfocussed. It's more of a casual hang out with vape talk/use. I think the two dovetailed perfectly. You got the...
I wouldn't mind the unboxing, first attempt videos, if he followed up with a proper review/preview after he learned to use the vape. I think it's a bit disrespectful to their viewers who might use their videos to inform purchases.
Yeah mine is mesh. I haven't watched it yet. Can't believe Troy is burning the bowls. It's like Anvil all over again. In 3 months I've only combusted once, and that was due to aiming torch really low and not knowing appropriate VI position.
He's entertaining, and he really knows his vapes. But...
Just tried it. Honestly not for me. Too much heat in lungs. Made me cough after also.
I use it with the BB3 stem when using with J-hook. I really like the tiny airport. Can leave it unblocked and it adds just a tiny bit of air.
I would recommend BB6 over it though, as it gives more clearance...
Great stuff. Yeah it's a very capable low temp vape. Whisper it in the halls but I find it more accomplished at lower temps than desktop ball vapes that seemed to require multiple hits, stirring, and temp stepping.
Maybe it's to do with having sustained heat, and no wasted material and space...
