Yeah maintenance Is a breeze. I just cleaned mine this morning. I have a little glass food container filled with iso. Just put parts in for 30 mins, then dunk in hot water. The parts then almost dry from the heat. It will be ready to use in no time. I've never kept on top of cleaning this well...
This is where I'm at. I enjoy putting Tempest on J-hook, and Nova, to mix it up, change the experience, and to extend time needed between cleaning.
But the native stem is king. It frees you from handling glass, so you don't have to worry about breakage. It's elegant as needs no other implement...
I like it on glass WPA, Glass J-hook. Tip airflow fully open. I still prefer native stem most the time.
You do single large hit extractions with the direct flow tube? You're lungs are quite impressive if so. What setting do you have the airflow at? Do you use the carb?
It gives some heat at the back of the throat that reminds of smoking. It's worth trying for those who like to do joint puffs. The amount of ways I can enjoy this vape seems to grow by the day. For single large lung buster hits I strongly advise Helix tube however.
I can't advise on ball size. But in my opinion SIC is the one to try. I've tried Boro, shorter heat cycle, but without substantially reduced heat up requirement.
Ruby will be very close to Zirc (standard) and not worth trying. SIC will change the experience enough to warrant potential...
Regarding low temps reheats. I've tried it. I just decided that for what I get out of it, it's not worth it for me. I feel the same way about TM2 on low temp, in that it is a sufficiently sustained low temp extraction, that it doesn't leave too much behind. My OCD wants me sometimes to get it to...
I would experiment with IH depth. For a whole month I was using the wand differently to how Brenyo suggests, out of ignorance. I had the insert pushed down well below level. So my Tempest was getting heated closer to the bowl. I was getting exceptional results still, but the stem got hotter to...
Just a PSA to new owners. Make sure to experiment without the secondary cooling unit. The SCU seems supplementary as opposed to necessary. After lots of experimentation I prefer without, as does Brenyo.
The SCU will give extra cooling in situations that need it, but it has a trade off in terms...
Yeah I was worried after my initial glowing review. I was worried there were unforeseen variables I hadn't encountered yet, and people might have a different view. But after using it constantly for couple months I felt absolutely sure it was going to cause a wave. It's just such a great vape.
Yes, but more to boil off the water in the ball chamber than anything else. As it's your first time using device I would advise following this by placing it on a magnet to cool to room temp, before begining your first extraction.
I've tried it with Boro. I prefer ZIRC. Longer heat cycle, with only marginal longer heat up requirement. Rubies would be similar to ZIRC with shorter cycle. SIC is the one worth experimenting with maybe, as it will have longer cycle than ZIRC, and potentially shorter heat up (I'm told).
We...
