Hmm, I'm so fascinated by this, and didn't even mean to re-up the conduction/convection topic with vapcap thermodynamics. @Stu does this imply that the temp increase at the start of the draw is boosted by the draw itself (using airport air), or simply a temperature ramp up due to the...
I just tried @LabPong's screen mod with my 20M and yessir it's niiiiiice. It really feels different somehow; perhaps more thorough extraction and more natural draw somehow? My layman's understanding of the small convection component of the device is that during the draw, some of the airport air...
I’m probably in the minority, but I actually use pretty small amounts in my V8R bowl most of the time. I’ve found that a fine grind, longer heat up 40 seconds (pretty close to tip, gets orange pretty fast) from simple Rosle brûlée torch, slow draw can get a robust first and second hit.
This is...
Thanks and congrats to Stu and Pakalolo for keeping the community alive with this life boat. I'm really loving the format and look of this place, and soon this boat will become a 'mighty' ship! Cheers.
Baron, hope you love your Fluxer when you get it. Mine's still performing marvelously. On a VAS (IHAS) whim, I picked up the stock Dynatec heater, and easily prefer the Flux for a stronger, denser experience. There's just something very satisfying about it! Thanks again @mr_cfromcali for this...
Another data point based on @LabPong and @almost there posts - my BB9 is the same. Raised carb/airport hole (which I don't mind since I use it), also quite loose fitting on the 14mm joint into my Mega Globe. Wondering if Labpong's performance with the older BB9 is better with a tighter seal?
Thank you for the review, @macbill. This is exactly what I needed to keep my VAS at bay :)
Curious if those air intake ports feel any different than the regular Era holes?
I'm probably in the minority in that I enjoy using my Dynas as one-hitters. I also find that adjustable Ti tip screen option very finicky and set it deepest for a more solid feel. Probably my OCD, but a tiny amount of material jiggling around the chamber just doesn't feel as satisfying as full...
Does anyone know if there are torches like the Big Buddy that have a visible fuel window? I'm wanting to invest in a nice torch since the heating source is so key to the Elev8r experience.
Awesome info! Thanks @StringTheorista and @stark1. I never even considered the hemp fiber thing to tighten up the fit. Testing begins now.....
Random thought of the day: VAS is for me is a search for the perfect experience. It's an ongoing syndrome because this perfect experience doesn't really...
Hi Dynaverse,
Can someone help me out on this - I find that I prefer the simplicity and taste of a Ti tip/screen paired with the Grav 12mm tasters. I have several tips that I've amassed over the years, and only one fits (barely tight enough). Are there any tips to make a better fit, or are all...
@newvape918 Will you do a contest/prize giveaway for who guesses correctly what's in the mystery box? :D He definitely has a dual controller and large glass in there! Two grinders, etc....
In a way, I love the ritual of preparing to vape as much as any of the vapes themselves! Grinding to the perfect consistency for the situation is also a huge part of the joy for me. When you think about how basic the process of vaping is (like cooking food), you appreciate all the variables that...
Just wanted to say thanks to @mr_cfromcali. VERY happy to support his excellent work. My gun metal, 15mm coil, external switch, battery meter IH is working amazingly. For my usage, the batteries seem to last a long time. Game changing for me, and Mr C was so responsive and helpful to this IH...
@TheBandit sorry to hear this. I don't chime in here often, but sad to hear the same line echoed over and over in here: "GH is great when it works". I still have my Ti hopper which works but it gets such light use because of VAS and my lucky situation. I am so confused as to why HL doesn't have...
I'm one of those low temp flavor chasers. But with the FP (using SH), I find smaller doses work great with 700 on the PID, uncapped, medium speed draw. Edwyn has an older video that does this and my experience has been similar.
I have both and love them for different reasons. The SS screens are great, simple to pop out and clean using the skewer I use for my Enano. SS advantage for me is that it catches fine grind microdoses perfectly, even though 7th floor recommends filling a lot for vapor production. For my glass...
Yep, just wanted to drop in and report that a fine grind like @Baron23 uses for the MV1 is pretty spectacular, even on level 1. It seems like consensus here is that medium to coarse is ideal, but I was surprised at the vapor production and quality of the first low temp draw. Thanks Baron...
