I have it half bowl when it's on a bubbler. Full bowl on stem. I get perfect even dark roasts with full bowl, so I disagree with the statement.
With regards to second heat ups, you can either learn the optimum pre heated VI position (for me it's middle notch) or you can heat it for 10 seconds...
I unscrew the debowler tool from the Reload. The underside is great for pressing against the screen to lower it evenly. When I want to go from lowest position, I use the other end of the tool and poke up one side of the screen before pushing out.
Just today I've had it half bowl, WPA on a small bubbler. Then switched to Ti, full bowl Direct flow tube, stem closed off, doing small cigarette puffs. Then last few hours I've had it with the Helix tube, DTL hits with ebony wood stem :D
Not to mention all the weird frankenvape set ups I've...
The versatility is what I love also. Ti/wood stem/wpa torch/wand indoors/outdoors dtl/cigar puffs flower/hash. I change the configuration and the settings almost on a daily basis.
We're not meant to compare directly, as it takes things off topic. My Tempest and ZX are my two favourite vapes of all time. That's all I will say, unless you send me a dm.
I've never used either of those vapes. I would place it around a sticky brick Runt from the vapes I've tried. It has that same vibe where you are extracting everything in one heat cycle, but the bowl ramps up, allowing to extract the terps before they are destroyed.
My best tasting vape I've...
Yeah the flavour is what struck me the most first try. I was expecting it to taste like a DV or Anvil.
When you put the tip on a glass piece, you can see a delay before the vapour starts. I think the bowl ramps up through the temps as you draw, so you get terps even when going for darker roasts.
Yeah as Tempest leans heavily convection (hence awesome flavour) it means we can get a range of different results based on draw strength. Airflow options change the dynamic, and combine with your draw technique.
I advise new users to try the tip on a WPA on a small bubbler like below. You will...
It's honestly worth getting a quartz cap. It will be different to everything else in your rotation, and will be fun to use when you are in the mood for it. I just don't think it's a good candidate to be someone's main driver. Atleast for the hobbiests like ourselfs. You get a lot of bang for...
I just got a Quartz cap this last week. It's great but it's a supplementary vape imo. I would hate it to be my main driver, just from refilling lighter constantly, never mind anything else.
ZX is godly
I'm going without a screen. It's opened up the airflow enough where I can use the device. I have TMJD so I can't use vapes with too much restriction. The taste is amazing like this as well.
So I'm quite enjoying the QC experience. Great vape to have. Not sure it could ever be a main driver for me, due to how fast the screens get clogged, and how often you have to refill your torch. It has a really nice signature. I can see myself picking up the 18mm for sure.
EDIT Just tried...
I've had stems with glass screens, and that was enough to diminish airflow massively. Never mind adding a bunch of balls. I think this is a subjective thing. Some people are less sensitive to this stuff. It would give me a headache personally. I don't even want to think about cleaning it. Glad...
They look dreadful to me. Some people just don't mind the sucking a golf ball through a straw experience.
EDIT Just seen they even have integrated glass screens to maximise the airflow restriction :ugh:
