That ash Misty looks brilliant
Pale wood logs are eye catching and ash is very pale.
Added to that is some well defined grain on sides and top.
Really, I want one of each  but I'd also go for the cherry wood first :luv:.
Sounds like more good news regarding production issues...
Looking back to your first post here in April it's astonishing how far you've progressed in just a few short months.
Nicely customised dimmer there, btw. Is that what you call a closed circuit? :D
The new wood is an exciting developement. Feels like things are really moving along :clap...
The Misty beta unit has been my daily driver for over two weeks now and I can report that it's running fine and very happy in it's new home :).
I run it very slightly hotter than I did the UD, perhaps because the units's body feels cooler in the hand. As a result of this I'm getting bigger...
Well, the mahogany Misty beta unit arrived on Saturday. I've now had six days to give it a thorough trial run and am ready to share some results.
Before I start, I'd like to express my thanks to @blokenoname . Not simply for choosing me to beta test but for providing us all with the wealth...
The Misty has landed
Plugged in, heating up and looking good :luv: :D.
A lovely piece of work matenoname :clap:.
Now, time to get busy on the testing :science::science:.
Will report initial results soon :sherlock:
My main computer's in the workshop until next week so I can't post...
OK, start with dimmer set for 8 o'clock - got that.
As well as the dimmer I use a 2 meter extension lead which I understand also lowers the voltage reaching the unit. Dimmer for UD is set at about 11:30 which gives me the mid-brown abv that I tend to aim for (abv usually gets qwiso'd at some...
Excellent review @Megaton.
A person could make a well-informed decision about this vape on the basis of your review
and more than that we cannot ask.
You describe a well-made and versatile addition to our vape options and it sounds like just the job to me.
Like you, I consider water...
Excellent news! :tup::tup:.
I hope you make as many logs as there are grains of rice in my larder (ancient Indian blessing).
We've waited a long time for a European log maker so I'll be keeping a keen eye out for your new thread.
All the very best to you @matenoname.
I'm visiting this thread every day. Brilliant work - and your 'open source' approach is admirable.
Can I call you matenoname?
A lovely vape for desktop use and it's portable (stealth's rarely issue for me either).
I got a UD about three years ago (40mm diameter/100 height). It's been my...
The original battery that came with my FF1 - three years ago - is now a little past it's prime.
So I checked out the price of a new one, expecting it to be the usual £25.
I was delighted to see they are now reduced to a very reasonable £18.
The FF is no longer my daily driver - I have a U/D...
@CurryLeafTreehugger - welcome to GAS (glass aquisition syndrome).
You'll be pleased to know that there's an entire thread devoted to this condition.
Fellow sufferers post here :).
U/Ds go great with glass. Good luck on your journey.
Yes, fingers crossed here too. I'm sure we all wish @RastaVapa a speedy recovery.
I don't have an order in with HGL but I check this thread daily for some good news about him.
Such talent is a precious thing.
@Chicken #420 good work, man! Great thread. Vital info for buyers.
@DJ Colonel Corn thx for finding that lovely little parabolic dish. I ordered one on 29th Jan
and it arrived today (UK) - 11 days. Not bad. I see the vendor - Clyecigs - is in
the 'great sellers' section of Chicken's list...
A wise move, friend.
My walnut dog is now two years old. I don't leave it on 24/7 but it's on every day for several hours.
I'm very pleased to report that it functions just the way it did when it was brand new - that is to say: perfectly; and looks just the same as it did when it came out of...
