With my Millana's the device itself has practically zero smell with the stem removed (even the stem doesn't smell much when empty TBH). I'd bet good money the Nomad is the same.

I like em both. And the stainless stems. I'm definitely going to turn myself a couple of wood ones. I've started a bocote one, but am waiting for the Nomad itself before finishing, to ensure a good fit which doesn't shrink. I reckon a blackwood one would look really dope, I'll have to look for...
