Meant to come and post here all weekend but was too busy (combined with too hazy)...
My Omni didn't arrive on Friday, but the post office is in the same building as my work, so I stopped by on Saturday after I saw that delivery was attempted and asked if I could pick it up. Helpful post office...
Just got my shipping notification!
I really hope it makes it by Friday, otherwise I will be waiting until Monday. (I always have things shipped to work so that packages don't have the chance to disappear from my doorstep. Damned tweaker porch pirates are a thing...)
Hi all. Been lurking in this thread off and on for some time now. I had been almost ready to pull the trigger on a TiWoody months ago, but ended up with a Sticky Brick as my first butane vape instead. (And I love my Sticky Brick, it is hands down my fave at the moment.) Shortly after that I got...
All the things @6079Smith said, particularly the tamping. You want air to flow easily through the material in the bowl. Also try (I am starting to feel like a broken record, sorry if anyone finds this annoying) putting a screen under the intake tube. A 1/2 in screen fits perfectly under the...
I mentioned doing this a number of pages back, and totally recommend it. A 1/2 inch screen fits perfectly under the intake glass tube. I don't find that it eliminates the need to stir, but I don't mind stirring every couple hits anyway. What it absolutely does is make it more unlikely to...
I am also interested in how low others let it get, but I would say that the torch in that picture is still about half full (easily) and you'd be wasting a lot of butane if you purge and refill it that early. I usually refill my torches when the liquid is down to about the bottom seam, basically...
I've been meaning to post this for like a week now. The other day (about a week ago) I had the Brick's blocks all separated as I was changing the screen out in the bowl and then reloading it, when I accidentally knocked the mouthpiece block (with mouthpiece glass in) off the table and onto...
I finally got around to trying your new technique last night and holy crap! You are totally correct. I felt certain that was going to make my bowl combust, but instead, just as you had said, there was not even a hot spot. Amazing. I tip my hat to you, sir. I don't know that I would ever have...
Alright. A bit more testing with a screen up in the metal ring thing and I am still liking the results. I compared the screen I used against the screens that come with the Jr and I was wrong, the one I used is larger and coarser mesh. I have a bunch of them and I don't remember what they were...
So I have been finding the Jr to be a lot trickier to hit than its bigger brother. The full size brick I feel like I really have to try to even get a scorched hit, and I have yet to combust at all. With the Jr I keep alternating between barely getting a hit, or scorching the load. I took it to a...
I am also new to torch lighters, and my Eagle torch also died within the first week. I knew that I was going to want a better torch anyway even as I ordered, so I had also ordered a Scorch Matador and it arrived the day after I was sure the Eagle was toast. (The Eagle had started sputtering and...
Hey! That's genius. I hadn't realized that it can just swivel like that either. Thanks!
I seem to put the lid back on backwards every time. Seriously. Every time. :mental:
Guess what just showed up!
Spent a few minutes faffing about with it, twisting and removing the mouthpiece and intake tube, checking it for wood bits etc. It's all looking great. The screen is pretty wedged in there, and I couldn't easily get it out with just my hands or the toothpick...
Go check again, but quickly. I had put it in my cart from a different computer when trying to figure out the codes thing. Just emptied cart on that machine and checked again, and there is at least one more.
Edit to add: And the codes issue should be totally resolved now. Good luck!
Alright, damnit. A spalted maple one showed up on PIU and I lost all ability to resist. Had a brief hiccup when it would not take the code for the discount, but Jake at PIU got me fixed up.
Many thanks to PIU and now I have to figure out how this gets explained to the wife, haha.
I have...
Oh man oh man oh man... So I've had the Sticky Brick for just over two weeks and now I am thinking about getting the Jr as well. Not sure what the wife will say, hahaha. Ah VAS...
Edit to add: I need to start setting some money aside for the hydro attachment for the og Brick, so that I am ready...
So I have had my Brick for almost a week, and I have pretty much fallen in love with this thing. The only issue I had was on day one when I hadn't adjusted the torch up enough out of fear of combustion. Once I cranked up that little flame a bit it has been easy peasy quick and massive hits...
Just a quick note to add that @StickyBricks and @Slow Draw McGraw both contacted me, and it is most apparent that they want to make sure I am a happy customer.
Edit: It's a bit later and my post was still the most recent, so I will just update it. Got home, Brick was all ready so off I...
Yep, that is exactly what mine is looking like, thanks for the pic. I did have the thought that maybe it was off center on purpose to create some kind of airflow effect, but the char I was seeing made me less certain. I would guess that the charred bit will eventually get as charred as it can...
So I got my new Sticky Brick yesterday. I actually arrived on Saturday but I always have things shipped to my work since where I live is plagued by 'porch pirates' so I don't ship to my home unless I know for sure I will be there when packages show up. Knowing it was in my work mailbox all...
