You can get soakable bearings in ceramic and plastic, but they come out easy for cleaning. I'll be putting mine in the dishwasher, just like I do the HR- works great.
I also ordered the Grippy Boys... Plenty grippy.
Like my HR; it sold me on the idea of stainless grinders, but... it's dinky and hard to turn when loaded and my hands are stiff and sore from manual labor. Just got in an Aroma 3. It's *much* larger, threadless, grippier spins very easily, and (in limited trials) faster. Worth a look for...
If you're buying dispensary product there is a lot of boof available. Shop carefully.

I dunno, I just find that style of device so tepidly lackluster that I wouldn't recommend them to anyone but a super newbie who wanted to get to know the sacred herb slowly and carefully. Def not for long term smoker. If it's the ritual, dyna or anvil; I just don't see a super mellow old-tech...
I think he'd switch back quickly from a session conduction vape. Instead look for full and rapid extraction:

A) Zbowl was *better* than the glass adaptor (14/14) I was using in terms of flavor. Not enormously, but definitely.
B) Zbowl stays *way* cleaner than others due to internal aero smoothness and compatibility w ZX.
C) Will never break, stain, corrode.
