Pax is a bit of a hog. Of all the vapes I own, it uses the most. I love the portability of it, but I don't use it often because of the amount it uses. You have to put a lot in there, and it's always heating your load so you don't get all of the vapor into your body.
Another thing to consider is...
You are assuming that the auto shut off starts when it reaches 400. From what I can tell, the unit shuts off after a certain time interval, not dependent on reaching a certain temp at all.
With aggressive pulls on the mouthpiece, the unit may never reach 400 degrees. Yet my unit always shuts...
As Vakedcow said, others have done it. I would not recommend it.
Those who did dismantle it mentioned O-rings that broke when they took it apart. I believe there were a few that didn't break them, but could not get them back in place. They were able to get the Pax back together and it worked...
Here's a link to the original post about the Mentos caps. I find they keep smell down to a minimum when it is in your pocket not being used.

It varies depending on what strain you are using, but the Pax can be...
Yes. I always turn my EVO on 10-15 minutes before I hit it.
But I agree completely with Deadshort480. It isn't necessary to wait that long, but I feel it is worth the wait.
I keep hitting my herb until no more visible vapor is produced. I actually take my ABV from my portables and run it through a desktop vape to get a few more hits out of it before tossing it.
Some people don't go to extremes when trying to get the goodies out of the herb because they use the ABV...
This weekend I watched 'Best Man down', which I had never heard of. It is not a rom-com, more of an indie drama. Not for everyone, but I enjoyed it a lot.
Keep in mind that there have been a small number of returns compared to the amount of sales they have had overall. Sometimes it may look like 'everyone is complaining' when it really isn't the case. It's just that most people get vocal if their vape is malfunctioning, but keep more quiet if it...

Have you tried different strains?
I usually run my EVO at 2 o'clock (I always let it heat up for ten minutes or so), but it amazes me how the vapor visibility can vary from strain to strain. Some whitewall the tube, some look pretty airy in comparison.
Luckily the effects are always
I know that high temp silicone can be used as a stem on a Nano, but I don't know what Andy sent you exactly. If it is high temp you should be fine.
When I had no glass, I used some high temp silicone that I got from a brewing store (rated to 500 degrees I think). I wedged a screen in it and...
I don't have a problem with too much heat. My original problem was not enough heat. I received a replacement FF yesterday that has plenty of heat, but not too much.
Sorry if I made it sound like the new one has too much heat, I just meant that it took some getting used to after using a cooler...
Last week I sent mine back. Mine wasn't as cold as yours (I could get light vapor, pretty sure yours couldn't get even that), but I never felt I was getting the results that everyone else was raving about.
After three weeks of not knowing for sure if mine was cool or if I was just expecting too...

Is this documented fact?
I have heard so many different things about batteries that I no longer know what to believe. I have heard the exact opposite of what you just said, namely that it is best not to charge them over and over if they don't need it.
I am not saying that what I heard was...
The Firefly has an auto shutoff (at about 30 seconds I believe). Even if you keep pressing the button, the unit will stop heating and the green light will stop flashing and glow constantly. Unless you let go of the button & re-press it at this point, the unit will no longer produce heat.
Do you mean that's the total time you hold the button down?
That's about how long I preheat before I even start drawing. The first hit I always hold the button until the light stops flashing green.
