i dont think stirring does much either but i also do that. i got a slightly bent tooth pick i push the cooling unit in a bit, twizzle the stick, cover the end with my thumb and shake it all about, push the cooling unit back up. then i insert the tube in the device, give it a twist for good luck...

i dont think turning the stem helps anything. i still do it because why not but i dont believe it helps. i can see how a 45 degree turn would be useful in a p80 because the pattern the heat makes is in the shape of a cross but the tinymight is a circle.
