Mine ranges from 11-1.30 depending on whether I'm vaping for terpenes or effect, concentrates get the high end of the spectrum. Always through a water pipe, somehow more satisfying.

I found inhaling faster led to more even browning of material in my SSV, pull too slowly and you'll get hot spots where it vapes to dark brown very quickly, whilst the rest remains as green as spring. I used to have to stir every hit, now it's every 2, maybe 3, and I get max 4 hits out of each...
I find layering works really well for me, I turn the SSV up to 1 o'clock, first layer quite thick ground herb, second a thin layer of un-pressed fullmelt and final layer thin ground herbs. At this temperature I find I can hit it more like a normal bong, at lower temps one has to be more careful...
Stopped smoking herb the day I got my SSV, carried on burning fullmelt for the first week until even that started tasting smokey and harsh. Now I attempt to avoid smoke inhalation as best I can, can't see myself going back..
Yeah, I'd guess he's referring to the hash oil cancer treatment process, where it's used sublingually or topically to great affect. He's right in a sense but not entirely, as someone mentioned above which compounds are healing is subjective, if you vape to manage stress or something of that ilk...
