You should receive the magnets shortly. This sounds like the BMS is kicking in on the HS. It kicks in if either too much current is been drawn (10 amp) or if it detects too much voltage difference between cells in the battery. Once it goes into protection, it needs to see the charger to reset...

That part you see is what the magnet is supposed to be sticking to. It's a metal disc so there is no glue needed. Check the cap or anything else that is magnetic friendlier than the disc and might have touched it. :cool:

Yes, the driver and circuits are the same for the HS and Brute. The only thing I can think of is the tolerances of the internal resistance within the batteries. For giggles, swap the batteries between the two units. :science:

You also need to get a male JST connector. I can only see these on Amazon where you need to get more than one. :science:

Give the magnetic clasp a try. I thought about them but remembered that magnets lose their hold when they get hot so I did not even try. I was envisioning it charging until the connector got hot and drop off. ..? Never know. :science:
