Alas, you are not Apple. The closest to Apple in the vape industry are the Volcano guys.
The production Bud Toaster will have to be extraordinarily well-built and finished, and dead reliable to justify a $500 price tag. It will need to be jewelry.
One of the biggest challenges for folk who...
There's also one plastic one I know about. My earlier vape, a Vapir One, had plastic mouthpieces but they were for larger diameter tubing, the tubing went into the mouthpiece so the thinner tubing this Extreme-Q uses (1/4'' i.d., 3/8'' o.d.) falls out.
Old tobacco pipe mouthpieces aren't very...
I'd like to find a different mouthpiece for my vape. The one that came with it is glass, and I just broke it sorta dropping the whip onto the kitchen counter. Yeah, I do stuff like that. So I think I'd like to replace it with one that is not glass. The tubing for the whip is 1/4'' (.250 inch...
Just "joints," eh?
That's pretty boring. I was hoping for something a lot more scientific-sounding. :P
(Thanks)
The males and female joints on the Extreme are 18mm?
Can anyone give a newbie a hand? I posted this yesterday:
I need help with glassware terminology.
The cyclone bowl part has females on both ends. These are called _____ ?
The male end of the elbow (plugs into the cyclone bowl) is called _____ ?
I know they are standard fittings, I just...
"Looking for my sweet spot," said SugaShack. The more I think about it, the more I think that finding the sweet spot -- different for everyone -- is what this is all about.

Vape4life: Well, look -- I'm not a heavy user. Believe it or not, but I'm still toking off the same elbow pack that I put into my Q when I got it a couple days ago. And the bud is from a different strain than what I was last using with my Extreme. So my results are not very useful to make any...
I agree, and think that too many people fret about this. I don't think any vaporizers provide an accurate readout of the temp of the herb. They have to stick the thermal probe someplace, but it ain't in the center of the bowl. And if they did, someone would fret that the temp in the center is...
It's a pretty visible airway, nothing hidden. If there was a chunk of something causing blockage I'd expect that one would either see it ("Hey -- what's that? Looks like a Styrofoam packing peanut shoved down the mouthpiece!"), or would have inhaled it when it cleared.
With a fresh elbow pack...
Hey vape4life, after reading that I checked out the buttons on my E and my Q. The ones on the E clatter when pressed, the Q's, while feeling just as loose, don't have that rattle. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that this assembly may not have changed when the model changed, and maybe...
Heat up time, from room temp to 200C, (as indicated by the LCD), no fan:
Extreme: 77 seconds
Q: 63 seconds
I don't know whether this means that the Extreme heats more slowly, or whether its thermal sensor is farther away. The Q has three sensors, and the machine is maybe averaging them? I just...
As a caution, I should have said that I loaded the elbow of the Q with unknown herb, given to me by a grower who had some drying but wasn't real sure where he and his buddy had gotten it. I had not tried it before. So my results of last night (above) might have been due to the bud and not the...
The new darker finish on the tower's stainless steel skin has a purplish tinge under tungsten (regular light bulb) lighting. This isn't the case with the Extreme, which is skinned with unfinished stainless steel.
I am very stoned. This thing seems to deliver more and better but I can't see any...
