Its neither of those...its the life span of Hopper Labs which is still on shaky ground as far as I'm concerned. We will see...if reliability/test-ability/repair-ability is not SIGNIFICANTLY improved, then I don't have a lot of hope for that company.

It was made solid as a rock. Yes indeed, while a bit pricey for a stand, I found the quality and workmanship to be well worth it along with its wonderful aesthetics.
