Bummer but failures do happen....more often with some products than others but still...they happen.
Electric motors have brushes and armature contacts...well, at least they used to....and you can often see sparks from one in operation.
Maybe the Volcano fan motor? But I don't see anything like that on mine.

Have never seen that and the terminals that S&B use on the power in the 'Cano are huge and strong. If you were really shorting out, I believe it wouldn't work at all and it would be apparent.

You actually have a distilling rig to crack the resin with? Do you really mean distillation or do you mean hydrocarbon extraction?
I'm a bit confused here as I don't know too many folks who could put together a true, post extraction, distillation rig or who could afford one.
