I always tip my Mighty loads with a liquid pad. It doesn’t even need to be a very small load though the LP does support doing that. To me, it keeps crap out of my CU and adds some conduction to fully extract the load. How I roll w the Mighty pretty much always.

Are you sure it lists THC and not THC-A? I believe converting one to another deducts like 17% and maybe that is the source of the diff?

First thing I think of is moisture content of your flower. If the first hit is mostly just a dry out hit, AND you really want visible vapor on the first hit (which is not a hard requirement for me) then perhaps look to dry your herb out a bit before loading.
