I can't say that I agree with that. I can put a partial load (say .15 g) in a Mighty, top it with the liquid pad, and it not only runs well...it actually extracts more fully due to extra conduction from the LP. Now, Plenty yes. And Volcano...yeah. But not Mighty IMO.

I love using my GH through a cheap little J-hook. I'm finding that the standard MP with condom actually is giving me a better seal on a 14mm joint than my SS PFE that I have had for a while. Not sure if its the glass joints or the PFE but there is air leak so I use the MP/condom and that works...

No, its full convection as is the FP. You can run both at about .1 g (min) to maybe .25 max. My preferred load in both is about .15 g and that's a few draws and a clean up. With either, if you want to stop, on the FP just take the heater off of the bowl and with the EVO just take the ELB out...
