You shouldn't blast into oil slick pads either but people still do it. I would say these can be used the same way the oil slick pads can be used. any solvent with petroleum (iso, butane) in it should not be used with a material that also contains petroleum (silicone). I remember in health...
I have both and I don't think I could give up either one. I don't think the solo as exactly on par with the LSV as far as vapor production but it is not far off either, especially considering it is portable and can be used almost anywhere. I would say get the solo considering your...
@KRnoS most glass now comes with either a 14 (14.4) or 18 (18.8, 19) mm scientific glass fitting. If you don't have any glass at all I would pick that first so you know what size gong you need. Be careful when shopping though because the cheapest glass will be soft glass and will usually have...
that isn't the gong one so you are taking a chance on it not fitting properly, in which case you would need tubing from the stem to the helix. OTOH you might get lucky and it will fit right over the stem with just a little tubing to make it airtight or even better it is a direct fit into the...
just get a solo and put it in a to go cup with the stem sticking out like a straw. seeing as how large cups are illegal in NYC, it should be just about the perfect size
I would guess there isn't a thread for the same reason there isn't one for blu ecigs or any other ecig you can get at the gas station, this appears to be the same as those only more expensive in that it uses proprietary pre-filled (tobacco only) cartridges that are one time use.
To start with you really don't need to suck that hard. You are working against the restriction that is there fir a reason. Try relaxing a little more when you are hitting it and slow your draw to match the restriction. Think of the solo as a big luxury boat of a car ( like an old Lincoln or...
@ou812? I always use a fine grind and I usually pack the bowl pretty tight with great results. I also use a domed screen in my bowl though which helps evenly cook my herb
So I timed this just perfect, I just finished reading/skimming this entire thread and I can see the mail truck down the street that I know is carrying the sv evo I just picked up as an impulse buy off eBay. Can't wait to try it out.
Just for you @Dreamerr I did a quick mock up of my old & new method but I used my last coffee filter this morning so I just used paper towel to show you. I usually clean out my stems by filling them halfway with EC, shake until clean then pour it out into a mason jar, I save this up until it...
I know, the first couple time I did it I just screwed it under the rim of a mason jar and held it upside down, after that I got the metal strainer so I could trim the filter and set it in there, my Pyrex pan has a handle I can tie the strainer to so it wont fall in. Now I just to my jar over...
The wire strainer isn't necessary for stem oil, the particles go right through it but if I were doing an EC wash on ABV or flowers I would do both also to get the alcohol out quickly to pick up fewer contaminants.
BTW @ataxian you have the wrong Everclear, you want the 95% yours says 75.5
